Copia and Gustave Dore fanart (again)

My third time posting fanart here (all Gustave dore themed) and this one is Copia in his military outfit riding a pale horse, the original is called A Vision of Death, this time not from Paradise Lost but from one of his Holy Bible illustrations. Thinking of Witch Image, ”I am riding in the shadows behind you on a pale white horse“ (not marks of the evil one since that’s a perpetua song). I’m also very grateful for the support this subreddit has given to my previous fanart posts!

A bit off topic but while making these I got to read more about the methods of making these illustrations, directly on wooden blocks an engraved for printmaking, and researched a lot more dore art (I love his work for The Raven!)

Frater Imperator paradise lost fanart

I‘m back with another paradise lost/ghost fanart because I felt inspired by another one of his illustrations, imagining a jealous frater imperator sitting on the side while V gets to be in the limelight of the band. This time I included at the end the original artwork by Gustave Dore. I realize I got the color wrong from the first illustration i did but wtv. This one feels a bit more silly than the first one I did but I had fun making it. Hope this sub enjoys it as much as I do.

Perpetua fanart paradise lost

Ive always liked the paradise lost illustrations and I was thinking of Satanized and From The Pinnacle to The Pit. (I drew perpetua over the background and just edited out lucifer).

I thought about putting Perpetua in his papal robes from satanized but then there would be no point in posing because the robe would cover everything. I also added the skeletal frame for the wings that perpetua has, as well as one of the versions of claws he has.

edit to add, the original artwork for anyone unfamiliar is Satan‘s Despair by Gustave Dore
