I kinda miss the old Ghost

Not to say i dont like the new stuff peacefield is among my top 5 favorite ghost song, but,I noticed that in the new album skeleta the songs have been a bit more positive and hopeful, ever since impera being a bit more "tame" than before, and although skeleta still has songs like Marks of the evil one,its a far cry from songs like year zero and ritual. And one reason i suspect is because Ghost has gone a bit mainstream after Mary on a cross,i know that people changes and we need a bit more positivity in these day and ages,i still miss the OG funky villain ghost.

Merch to collect or avoid? Question from a newer Ghost fan

I'm sorry if this has been asked before (I swear I tried searching before posting).

Are there any places people can find out what t-shirts or other merch pieces are good ones to collect and own?

I mean, places that would show what are things to look out for and also what are shoddy knock-offs to be avoided?

Or is this knowledge lore passed down from person to person and if you've been a fan long enough you just...know?

I hope that made sense.

I'm a newer fan. Never been to a ritual and have the impeccable timing of discovering Ghost right as they decided not to bring Skeletour here (Australia) and went on hiatus.

I'm trying to look on the bright side. I love seeing people's posts here about rituals they went to, and all the other cool stuff. I know I have so much to learn (and start collecting too). But learning more about what to keep an eye out for would be good, for sure.

Is this the youngest Ghost fan on here?

My 4 month old son, as unsettled as he can be sometimes, always relaxes and sleeps when Ghost is on, without fail. I'm so proud of him!

Seven Inches of Satanic Panic was added to the collection

I picked it up yesterday at my favorite record store, and I absolutely love it, especially the artwork and the fact that Papa Nihil and his '69 Ghouls are credited on the back of the vinyl jacket.

It plays great, I am noticing some things in the music that I'm not able to hear on my phone.

With that being said, I really hope that Ghost will decide to release a full album with Nihil's long-lost songs!

Huge thanks to u/Fluffy-Salt-3057 for convincing me to buy it, you were 100% right! 💜

Got Primo a new display

I saw this on Amazon and had to get it! He looks so cool next to my albums! Now, should I paint the shelf black, try for a stone paint job or leave it as is?

For July 4th I sang "Jesus He Knows Me" but with a twist

I took a page from Ghost's book and tweaked the lyrics to more closely resemble someone who would gladly sell you a bible with his name on it, but who probably has never read a page from it in his entire life (probably because he can't read). I also changed "buy a piece of paradise" to "buy a share of my meme coin"!

Joining the Catholic Church

I was raised protestant. Jesus He Knows Me hits home for me due to false preachers and people who manipulate their religious power.

However, I was relatively unfamiliar with the Catholic Church until Ghost showed me their "inverted" version of it.

I have since done a ton of research on the Church and have decided to start classes to join!

Don't get me wrong, Ghost is still my favorite band of all time, but they introduced me to Catholicism and I am giving my life to Christ.

I'm sure the "edgy" Gamestop employees of this sub won't like this post, but go fuck yourself! I thought this community was about acceptance?

Have a good one!

Impera Displate

Finally got around to redecorating my office. The Impera Displate art had to be the centerpiece. Highly recommend!

Copia and Gustave Dore fanart (again)

My third time posting fanart here (all Gustave dore themed) and this one is Copia in his military outfit riding a pale horse, the original is called A Vision of Death, this time not from Paradise Lost but from one of his Holy Bible illustrations. Thinking of Witch Image, ”I am riding in the shadows behind you on a pale white horse“ (not marks of the evil one since that’s a perpetua song). I’m also very grateful for the support this subreddit has given to my previous fanart posts!

A bit off topic but while making these I got to read more about the methods of making these illustrations, directly on wooden blocks an engraved for printmaking, and researched a lot more dore art (I love his work for The Raven!)

Had a amazing, and quite unusual find

I came across this test pressing of the Tilburg Ritual record. This record is a bootleg release which contains Ghost’s ritual at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg on 14/04/2011, they are all hand numbered and limited to 100 copies. The test pressings are limited to 18 copies.

Starting my vinyl collection with Meliora 10th Anniversary Deluxe in Green Smoke

I was torn between buying this and the Brown Marble one, but I decided to go with this Green Smoke! It looks and sounds absolutely stunning, and the included Mummy Buck is such a cool addition.

Plus, I managed to get it for an amazing price, considering that there were 750 copies for the USA, Europe had only 300!
