I’ve been an avid fan since 2016 and have been to 4 rituals. All this time though, I’ve not been a fan of Impera. I just didn’t get it. Didn’t like it. Tried and just didn’t. CMLS and spillways were the only 2 songs I liked and even then still didn’t favor this album much. On the first Skeletour leg when they performed Darkness, my breath was taken away. And I had never heard it. Because I never gave this record a chance. And then having listened to it after, I was kicking myself not having known it to enjoy it even more live. And then the snowmageddon canceled my chance to see it again. But even watching RHRN, I kind of skipped/ didn’t listen to the Impera songs and payed more attention to the others. But as of recently my Spotify has been recommending it. And through Griftwood and Watcher in the sky, I have a new found appreciation for it finally “get” where this album fits in their discography. And as a guitar player, mad as hell I didn’t hear those 2 songs sooner. But yeah. Pretty wild how much I was missing. Still not a fan of twenties though lol.

It dawned on me today Driving home from work with Umbra on that, besides the intro to Crazy Train, I’ve never heard any other Metal/Rock song use one. Or any song for that matter that I’m aware. Kind of interesting. Any songs ya’ll know of that use one?
