How to avoid Cosmo School

hey 23F here and i’ve been wanting to paint and cut wigs for years now. Some important context here:
I’ve never really been into beauty like that though, i’ve always been a computer girl and i work in remote customer success right now.
But i’ve always been an Artist. And now i wanna make wigs that are Wearable Art

My hesitations: I’m not good at cutting, curling or bleaching sigh. I’m not working on humans but the technique is just the Same.
From what i’ve read i see that cosmetology school is a waste of time and money for many people and i don’t want to waste any of my time or money right now. Ive been attempting to learn through youtube and im gonna be honest- im wasting so much money or resources to practice. Scissors, mannequins, synethic wigs human wigs- a good cosmetology school would save me so much of my person time and money but they all trash 😭😭😭

How can i learn the necessary skills without being enrolled in cos school? Is that even an option? i’m not going to even be installing these wigs onto people just customizing and selling

Anyone have insight how saturated this industry and the demanding for these skills and products are??

i’ll pay for in person lectures atp lol, anything helps !

For Clarification: my goal is to work on all wigs from high quality human hair wigs to synthetic cosplay or theatre. Like from Rich Balayage all the way to pink afro bob. And that takes technique and skills
