What happened to authenticity?

It was a pleasure meeting Thomas Healy & Thaddeus Robeck. And it's always a good time seeing Don Aguillo. Thank you guys for doing this signing. I was prepared to get sigs, remarques, and sketches galore 😅 something I would only do at
this scale for Spawn. I hope more Spawn creators are able to make it out to Northern California/Bay Area.

This is my first time I’ll be diving into every on-going Spawn title at once. I was already really into The Scorched, Spawn main title, Curse of Sherlee, Deadly tales, and every mini-series that has been released since Spawn #350. With the new creative teams, I finally feel comfortable jumping into King Spawn and Gunslinger and am happy that I did. Knowing both Spawn and King Spawn are directly connected makes this reading experience fun.

Anyway, I can yap and yap on and on so I’ll just rank all 4 main titles and state why.

*LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD*

1. The Scorched #51
   Very biased placement, but Jessica Priest is my favorite character and The Scorched was already my top read, but the months/weeks leading up to the release of #51, Healy was doing rounds of interviews and IG interactions that assured me that he’s been listening and is still actively listening to what we want. He made that very apparent in the last pages of #51 with the spread of various characters that myself and others I’ve seen request to be featured more in the Spawn Universe. Seeing that go me so hyped, because I specifically requested to Healy on IG and YouTube that I need to see more Bloodletter and Raven Spawn. I’m loving the direction and I can’t wait to see more of Vitti’s art. Very daring, yet comfortable with the characters.

2. King Spawn #55
   This one was a surprise to me, because how much I loved it. I wasn’t reading King Spawn before, but Rosenburg writing flowed seamlessly and Nachlik’s art matches the dark tone they’re going for in King Spawn. I’m just very interested and engaged with what they want to reveal to us next. Also, BDSM SPAWN!!!!!

3. Spawn #376
   Although the main title is ranked low out of 4, that doesn’t meant I didn’t like it, but nothing really much happened, which is not a bad thing. Rosenburg and the Spawn team did state that main title Spawn was going to dive more into Spawn’s heroic escapades and have a lighter tone to it. Gonna be so fun reading Spawn and King Spawn together!

4. Gunslinger #54
   There wasn’t much Gunslinger, but can’t wait to see what this new group has to do with our main man Gunslinger.

How is everyone liking the new She-Spawn mini? The reveal at the end was kinda crazy and Ig Guara’s depiction of the team left me speechless. Shout out to Gail Simone, Robert Nugent, & Andworld Design ❤️‍🔥 I can’t wait to see what the team has in store!
