Mail Call, Nick Fury Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D #4
Just got back my Nick Fury 4 that I had double signed by Roy Thomas and Steranko. Steranko had signed it like 4 years ago and had Roy sign it at heroes con last year. Super happy with the grade

Just submitted Absolute Green Arrow #1 signed by Pornsak to CGC. My first time submitting a book for grading & couldn’t believe the price 🥺. Also found out that signed books automatically lose a grade if cgc witness is not present for signing 😩. I’m hurt!!! All those times I walked out with my book signed thinking I would submit all at once in the future, or purchased a signed book online from the artist , not realizing I was losing a whole grade 🤦🏾♀️. What’s the point of authenticity pass if cgc ignores it? #Lessonlearned
I’m generally a pretty good finder of things online, but I am at a complete loss here. The only ones I can find are from a what it seller who puts a backing board in them and charges $6 each!
That’s a crazy price as long as CGC doesn’t return them.
Won this yesterday in a local auction and I am beyond happy with it! Not only does it complete my SS run but to have it in such nice condition is a bonus!
It was slabbed in 2002 and case is a bit grubby (going to clean it up as best I can).
Should I break it out, clean and press and resubmit for grading?
I don’t ever plan on selling but having it in a cleaner/updated case might be nice. 🤷🏻♂️
Any one thinking of getting a sketch from Jim Lee at the next signing? With it being over $1,000 I’m curious to hear yalls thoughts
Bad jokes aside, this is a bad ass cover. Ghost Rider Variant by Maria Wolf
I’m going to galaxy con OKC this Saturday and I picked up this copy of Booster Gold #1 to get signed by Dan Jurgens. Should I crack the slab myself or have someone at the convention do it? I know they usually charge a fee for that, but Im thinking I could prep a window bag if I crack it myself in advance. I also heard that cracking the slab myself messes with the census as well. does that really matter that much? I haven’t done a witness signing at a convention before so I’m new to all this, nor have I ever cracked a slab. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
Got my slabs from the Snyder Whatnot. A little bummed it didn’t say from his private collection, I could’ve sworn they said it would say that. Instead it says his comp copy but either way pretty damn sweet. I also only paid for 1 logo label but got two which is cool.
Anyone else get theirs back?
What’s the green spot in this image shot of this book? Never seen this before.
I’ve recently sold around 113 CGC comics in order to fund a purchase for an Amazing Fantasy 15. As a huge Spider-man fan, this book has always been my holy grail. Something I never thought ever would be possible for me to own. I plan on getting a low grade copy. Has anyone else made a decision like this? And I’m guessing, I’m trying to find out if anyone has ever regretted doing something like this?
Some slabs state on the label “Newsstand Edition” while other (newsstands) don’t mention it on the label…is this an issue to collectors? Why do some say it and some don’t??
I ordered this from Celebrity Authentics as an anniversary gift for my wife as soon as preorders opened. For some reason people that bought through the company that actually did the signing had to wait the longest to get them back, but, all frustration vanished when I saw that 9.9.
The bonus autograph they sent was Tom Hardy. Not bad.
My wife loves this version of Catwoman. It was her favorite cosplay to do and I'm just really glad she loves the book as much as I hoped she would.
edit: it was 3 years not 4
I got overly excited at the price and impulse bought a 9.8 copy of the The Boys #1.
It's the free comic day version.
I'm stupid.
Just a PSA to pay attention.
It's not my first mistake either. I bought a first appearance of Cable, and while the description said it was the actual comic, the fine print said it was a facimile. Don't be me.
What’s the general opinion of the John Tyler Christopher negative space variants? I know theyre not particularly limited and some of the underlying books are questionable (hello, Strikeforce #1) - but as pieces of art design I really like the covers. The majority seem to be barely registering on the market though, with some 9.8s available cheap. I’m just curious if I’m alone in liking them?
I got this Comic out at a garage sale a couple of days back, and I hadn't noticed a signature on the second page until today. I have no idea who it is, and was just wondering if anyone has any expertise or recognition on this signature. And also just wondering if this changes the value of it at all? And should I get it identified through CGC, maybe?
The quintanas are from wondercon. The rest are from the snyder etc private signings.
I fast tracked the quintanas.. first time fast tracking . Will get em back in 7 weeks vs 3-4 month. My other wondercon order is still in the ccs q.
Shouldve fast tracked my other synder books. 😭
