85 D5 Winstreak with Undertaker + 350+ Games Data

https://reddit.com/link/1vtomkd/video/qxzht5981kkh1/player

Last(?) attempt at 100 consecutive wins with D5 randoms and Undertaker. Sadly ended to ED Balancers with bad rng, unideal teammates, and a couple of poor decisions on my end.

Anyway, this post is a follow-up to https://www.reddit.com/r/Nightreign/comments/1tsqd56/59_winstreak_with_d5_undertaker_some/ where I recorded the builds people were using to make the grind more interesting. Conclusions on the builds haven't changed that much, just more data to go off of now.

Original Data here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1La71UW4dnma8U6gmihRnxkf0Ncnbn20c2nyLrpPIHH4/edit?usp=sharing

The sheet has some additional data like most popular nightfarers per Nightlord that I didn't include in the post because it's too big, and is mostly correlated with the most popular nightfarers overall. Builds are also hard to categorize in general without dilluting the data with too specific builds, but I tried my best.

Anyway, hopefully this can be used to get a good idea of the general meta builds running around in D5 for each character. It's pretty clear at this point which builds work well in DoN (and can be built with reasonable relics).

Disclaimers:

- Games were all on PC so it's easier to cheat.

- Playing in Japan, but who knows how much that influences the number of cheaters or the builds being used.

- Data has some repeat teammates.

- I have blocked a lot of egregious cheaters so I may see them less often.

- I almost always picked Undertaker, so Undertaker data is underrepresented since people don't like to choose the same character as other teammates. Triple Undertaker is also wack af imo lol

Changes from last time: I changed out Undertaker's "last hit of chain attack" and "incantation buff" relic effects to fit in a bit more physical attack up. I still think they're fine, but nowadays I prefer fitting in more generic physical attack up effects and spamming jump attacks without stressing out about proccing those buffs.

That's p much it, thanks for reading and feel free to ask any questions / Undertaker advice.

Please learn the ED Libra fight before calling it BS

Just went through an excruciating ED Libra loss where I had to spend the entire time reviving my teammates instead of damaging Libra. I did play bad towards the end, but there's only so much I can do.

I really hate when people dismiss this fight as "just BS" because it means people can blame their losses on it being a BS fight instead of realizing that 95% of their losses in this fight are preventable and are a skill issue. Yes, it's a BS fight, but it's not "JUST" BS.

The main meta strategy for this fight is double balancers halo scythe, RoB, and beast claw rev, or anything else that kill the condemned quickly and safely. You clear out the condemned as they spawn and then fight Libra as normal. You interrupt the move where he spawns an "X" like attack above his head so that you can continue attacking him.

I'm going to rant about the nonmeta strategies because sometimes your DPS is not that great, or you're playing melee characters like Undertaker/Guardian, and I see the same mistakes over and over again.

  • If you have Less Likely to be Targeted (LLTBT), your job is to be the DPS in fighting libra and to revive teammates when they die. Your job is NOT to help kill the condemned unless you can do it super quickly and safely. Your teammates entrusted you with LLTBT - SO KILL LIBRA.
  • If you do not have LLTBT but one of your teammates does, your job is NOT to fight libra and instead to stay alive and lure the condemned away from your DPS and Libra. If you fight them and die, that is time wasted that your DPS needs to take to revive you instead of fighting Libra.
    • Do NOT fight Libra if it means bringing the condemned with you. You are just putting your DPS in danger and making it harder for them to fight Libra.
    • Idk if this is a hot take, but don't take LLTBT if your other teammates have it. If they are the same level of LLTBT, they cancel each other out until Libra starts a riot. Just accept your role as bait for the condemned.
  • If none of you have LLTBT, then don't engage with the condemned unless you can kill them safely and quickly. You want to run away and chip away at Libra with 1-2 hits at a time. Be aware of your surroundings and be ready to run if the condemned get close.
    • The most important thing is to stay alive. Being impatient and dying means your teammates have to waste time and revive you instead of fighting Libra, and this takes time since you will all be separated. Being impatient makes this fight longer, not shorter.
  • If your two teammates are downed, run. Try not to engage with libra too much, and for the love of god, do not try to engage with the condemned. Your goal is to stall until you get your ult back and can revive your teammates.
  • Pick up a weapon that can revive teammates quickly or powerstance. PING YOUR CLAWS IF YOU ARE PLAYING REV !@&#*!@&
  • Pick up clarifying boluses and DO NOT eat them before the fight. Bring them into the fight and eat them when the inescapable eye is close to proc'ing madness.

If you actually learn the fight and still want to call it BS, fine. But don't blame your loss on BS if you haven't even learned it.
