Hey y'all! 35f here and have always wanted to do camming. As an exhibitionist, getting paid for shows sounds like, a real life fantasy job lol. I'd never done it in the past because I was sexually repressed through my youth and had shit to work through which I have and I've found a lot of joy in connecting with kink groups/friends in my city, I've gotten a lot more comfortable in the 😆

I have AuDHD and every 9-5 I've ever had has ended in crippling burnout. Today, I walked out of my current job of two years. I have three months or so of bills in savings and I've done HELLA research (shout out to all who post on here 🩷) about camming for the past year and had been planning on doing this at some point- here I am!

I would love input on how realistic my goals are? Not right away of course, but maybe after a few months of consistency. I need to gross $2400 minimum per month ($2000 bills + $400 for taxes). I'm going to start streaming this coming Monday on SM (I prefer the 1:1 style), M-F 10a-4:30p EST with a half hour break. That's $600 per 30 hour week, $100/6hr day. I guess I'm just hoping for reassurance it really can work, or a reality check if its a stretch?

I feel like there has to be a reason/ some kind of barrier I'm not thinking of, so I'm genuinely curious.

I have been a vanilla solo business owner in the past and I'm wondering- why not, as a cam girl, pay $20ish/month for a domain name, set up some kind of age verification through yeti or something, and do our own shows through skype or whatever??

I'm referring to a private selling/shows type set up.

I named the services above as examples to describe this, not because I think they are good bad or otherwise.

I am not implying cam girls can't or haven't "figured this out", I'm moreso looking to hear what's actually stopping girls from saying fuck these places and just doing it themselves on telegram for no cut. I assume there are legalities but I was curious if we knew exactly what, or if it was more of a breaking TOS with the platforms you'd need to use along the way.
