Anyone dealing with (Local) Hydro breach?
I received an email from (my local hydro company) saying I was involved in a security breach. They did not get any sensitive information. They are offering services to (credit monitoring) which is fine enough I'll definately take it. In their correspondence it says specifically the breach did not involve any passwords to which I say *BS* because after going to my google account low and behold ive got an alert that I have 262 compromised passwords. I have had my (email) account for quite some time and never once had a compromised password let alone 262. How much time does one assume it would take to change 262 passwords. As well i got an email yesterday from (a large company starts with B) media to verify my email account, I never instigated this....is anyone else dealing with the aftermath of this? Would it be beneficial to get any legal advice? > (Because you cant use company names)<
