I want to get a robot mower for the same reasons as most of us and have a few questions.

I have about an acre with a slope of about 35 degrees on one side.
Most of our trees have a ring of mulch around them that varies every time I get mulch so I kind of want a mower that will recognize the difference.
Do they need to be able to have a Wi-Fi signal from the house?
Do I need to walk the perimeter of the mowing area with the mower or with the app? I don’t want a wire in the ground.
Do they need a subscription?

I am leaning towards a Segway but just not there yet
