Starlux Premium Economy vs Eva Air PE?

We are deciding on using miles between these two airlines for Premium Economy TPE to LAX, and we’d like to hear from anyone who has flown both.

My biggest priorities are:

  1. seats that comfortably raise your legs and recline for sleeping (we are not very tall or wide)

  2. the airline that is the most proactive for passengers in the event of flight cancellations or delays.

I’m leaning toward Starlux for item 1, but I don’t have a clear sense of either airline for item 2.

Thank you

A lot of folks are already talking about the purity-culture language that the Blink YA imprint at HarperCollins is using, which kowtows to book banning orgs.

Not too hard to guess who isn’t included in the “us” in this post, for example.

I’m also concerned about the marketing budget and author advances that HarperCollins might allot to its “clean” books at Blink YA, as opposed to its “dirty” YA books at other HC imprints.

Problem/goal: skin disorders/ to find the right doctor

I’m looking for a board certified dermatologist who specializes in skin problems such as eczema and fungal infections. It would be ideal if the doc takes swabs to determine a diagnosis via lab. I’d prefer Makati, BGC, or Mandaluyong.

So many dermatologists here emphasize cosmetic procedures, so I’m having a hard time finding those who focus on treating medical skin disorders.

Our EA informed us he would be filing our joint return late, is not sure of an exact date, and that he did not file an extension for us because we did not request one.

We know it is our fault not to have been more proactive and we were too trusting and we should not have paid hundreds for the EA in Dec and we should have checked xyz and we should have done etc etc etc, believe us we know all the reprimands and are thoroughly in despair

Our tax situation for 2025 is very different and more complicated from 2024. Multiple 1099s, new FATCA, dividends, an international move, a W2, freelance deductions, foreign tax deductions, probably more I’m missing because we are very lost about all this

I have been using online calculators, but we really do not know if I have estimated correctly, and our EA will not tell us an estimate of what we owe, and the IRS cannot tell us what we owe until we file, and we have not rushed to file because we don’t know if we are doing this return correctly at all

We are finding this depressing because we have no expertise or support for this where we live abroad, and we are aware we are risking hundreds or thousands in penalties and interest with each day of delay in filing and payment

Not sure if we should just file with Freetaxusa or hire someone else or what

Title. Completed our preparation for our EA on March 21, after a long silence just heard from him today that he “will aim to have it filed with the IRS” by June 1. No explanation, just that he will look at what penalties and interest we’ll be assessed once he completes the filing late. I asked his office to help us with a penalty abatement but my hopes are slim.

We worked with this EA for four years and had no issues until this year.

We live abroad as of 2025.

Thinking we should file now with the IRS ourselves and request a refund of our fees from the EA, file a complaint about the EA with the IRS, and review him online. Would welcome any advice on action we should take or anything we should be thinking about or aware of.
