Chilean government does not authorize use of the National Stadium for Arirang Tour

Chilean government does not authorize use of the National Stadium for Arirang Tour

According to the linked article, the Ministry of Sports does not authorize the use of the National Stadium for BTS's 360° stage set-up due to field damage that could potentially affect sporting events.

The tickets have already gone on sale, leaving BTS with a sold-out show with nowhere to play at.

BigHit may need to find alternate arrangements or cancel the shows in Chile entirely if the Chilean government does not go back on their decision.

Taehyung (V) asks fans to stop gathering at their hotels on tour

Sorry for the delayed post, had work. I'll try to make more posts like this in the future btw.

rough translation by me:

"We are very grateful that you want to greet us, but if possible, we'd appreciate if you'd refrain from coming to the front of the hotel. We don't want to share where we're staying and it also affects our condition for performances, so we kindly ask you this favor. Also, the time I get to try popular/good restaurants, walk the streets, and comfortably enjoy that country while on tour is very precious to me. Continuing forward, I hope you won't come to the front of our hotel anymore. I ask for your consideration!" - V on Weverse 260701

He also included a screenshot of a sleep monitoring app showing that he only got 2 hours and 27 minutes of sleep, implying that the fans at the hotel are disrupting his sleep.

This post comes after multiple stops in which fans have shown up to hotels, purposely booked hotels which members were staying at, recording members in public in their free time, etc.

Thoughts?

reminder to read the rules (pretty please with a cherry on top)

Hello ARMYNeutral,

There's been lots of good discussion for the few months we've had this subreddit, so I'd like to thank you all for that.

However..

one rule in particular gets broken so much that I feel like I'm removing every other post at this point (</3), so here's your reminded that crossposting is not allowed.

We find that many crossposted posts are low effort and the OP does not engage in the comments of our subreddit, only the subreddit they originally posted in. At worst, controversial crossposts may encourage brigading. Both are not good for the community.

Please take a moment to read the subreddit rules before posting or your post may be removed. Repeat offenders may be banned. If you have questions, you are welcome to ask in modmail.

Ok thanks everybody

Question posts + Voting system

Hello all.

I've seen a recent uptick in posts that ask non-discussion questions for ARMYs or simply posting fan edits.

Examples:

"Is anyone else attending XYZ?"

"Why won't my BTS merch ship?"

"Why did *other kpop subreddit* downvote my post?"

These kinds of posts are better suited for fan subreddits or your ARMY group chats. They will be taken down since they are low effort and do not foster the kind of discussion we are looking for.

ALSO,

We also see a lot of complaints about the voting system. We kindly ask that you all do NOT abuse the voting system. This immature behavior discourages people with alternate viewpoints from posting. This is NOT a fan-exclusive subreddit. There are plenty of fan-exclusive subreddits, go to those if you only want to see positive posts about BTS.

It is more difficult to control abuse of the voting system, but we still encourage our more "unpopular" thinkers to keep posting! Without you guys, this subreddit could become a monolith. Excessive complaints about getting a few downvotes, however, is getting a bit tired. I know it's annoying, but the best thing you can do is to keep sharing your opinion despite it.

If you are a stan or a hater who cannot handle civil discussion regarding a post you or someone else made, this subreddit is NOT for you. If you are expecting to post an unchallenged opinion, this subreddit is NOT for you. This subreddit's purpose is discussion. Replying to someone who is attempting to have a civil, genuine discussion with you with, "Umm this is a neutral subreddit" is a cop out. I've seen both critics and ARMYs do this here, and it needs to stop. As long as discussion does not break our rules, it is allowed.

TLDR? Expect opinions on the opinion subreddit.

Okay, thanks for reading everybody :p

ARIRANG TOUR LAS VEGAS: My Review

Hello all. I just came back home after attending all 4 days of the tour in Las Vegas with VIP. I've basically avoided most spoilers regarding the show for the past 1.5 months to enhance my experience too.

Here are some honest thoughts, no particular order:

- Some members are better at working the entire stage than others, or at least better directed (since I know that a lot of the show has assigned sides of the stage for certain songs and members). For example, on days 1 & 2, I was in the A part of the floor so I didn't see Jungkook much after the first quarter of the show but on day 4, I saw him quite a bit being on the B floor.

- There aren't too many backup dancers. I thought there would be, but I see why they're there. It helps keep us hyped up. I did not have trouble seeing members around the backup dancers like I was afraid of.

- I have no opinions on the screen effects. I did not need to look at the screen much with my seats.

- The margaritas were great. I didn't even need a full one to get tipsy LOL.

- Yoongi does not look at the crowd much I feel. He did say he was having eye pain though so maybe that's why.

- The surprise songs were amazing for days 2 and 4. They were good for day 3. They were okay for day 1, but it was also expected they'd do PTD.

- Other armys need to stop getting offended when people kindly reject freebies. My bag space is precious to me, sorry. I understand you worked hard to make it, but not everyone wants it. Especially when one of the freebies is a fake NDA... tsk tsk.

- The merch staff were super nice. The battery pack of my army bomb fell out and they replaced it for free, so I avoided spending $70 on a new lightstick.

- Security were meh. They would bother my seat neighbor for having a point-and-shoot digicam that fit venue regulations but ignore literal fansites with massive telephoto lenses. The security also did not care much when people left their seats for idol parade and ruined others' experiences. Sidenote, but a well-known fansite who swears she isn't a fansite told my friend to put her army bomb down a bit lower to not ruin her fancams... LOL.

- I did have a lot of fun and am planning on attending more shows when they come back to the states later this summer.

- The lack of choreography didn't bother me really. I preferred having moments where members would come to our section and jump around/dance with us rather than doing rehearsed choreographies.

- I like the 360° stage design. Even when I was the last row of the floor on one of the days, I could see well when they came down the catwalks. There will be things you miss (even if you're barricade), but there will also be things you see that the cameras don't capture on the jumbotron.

- I wish jungkook did the extra Into The Sun vocal runs on days 1-3 because day 4 was a real treat.

Okay that's all I can really think of at the moment. I had a blast!
