Finished this work, and I have loved working with charcoal. I will definitely use it again

Still very much a WIP but any advice on this, I haven't used charcoal since school. A long time ago

I thought I would have another go at charcoal as well as pencil I recently started.i saw an open call for ghostly figures but thought pyrography was the wrong medium.

A quick update on the pencil drawing I've been doing, definitely prefer pyrography. Harder than I remembered

Finally finished this piece, 80 hours of work but I enjoyed every single minute of it. Onto the next one now in this body of work, only 5 to go 🫣

A quick update on my drawing, can't work on it again now until Monday because I have to finish of a Pyrography piece I have on the go

Well I have been a bit busy at work so not much done, but updated image as promised completely different from Pyrography.

Nearly there now, been very busy so not updated recently. Highlights and hair to do now. I'm happy with it so far I think. Next weekend I should see it finished and hopefully ready to seal and frame.

Having a go at drawing, still early stage and I will finish it, but I think I will stick to my Pyrography 😂😂

Not much progress this week but it's coming on slowly. Should be the end of the month I reckon when I finish it.

I couldn't sleep last night because I knew something was throwing me off the mid tones. Some decided to burn the background in. Much happier now with the piece, because I now know just how much tone to apply on the cheek.

Well I had a really good day on this piece, and I think it is about 50 percent finished now. As always I will update again next weekend. Hope you like the progress, truthfully I have mixed feelings about it.

Last update for the week, back to a normal boring job tomorrow. Getting slow but progress starts again at the weekend.

Making very slow progress with this piece, but as before I am not rushing it, I think the board has too much moisture in it so tomorrow letting it sit in the sun to dry it out. Either that or my burner is on its way out.But updated as promised.

Not much done, proving to be a bit of a challenge. So I have decided to do it in small squares at a time. I will keep up with the updates.

Well here we go again with my age and wisdom themed work. Been away for awhile because of my new job but it's about time I got back into the burning.

I can't believe it, I feel like a kid at Christmas time. All from starting with a cheap pyrography kit and a love for pyrography. Not sold a single piece I have ever done, but I may think about it now.
