So this is happening on my back porch. Lots of wasps and the rocks have a wet appearance. It looks like they are wet. Wasps all over. There is a nearby lilac that has wet/shiny leaves with wasps in them. There is a lawn edging that has a glossy appearance. I am in SW Montana and fall is here. I am wondering if I am witnessing a nest. How do I get rid of it or prevent any further progress. Pictures attached.

Description: My house backs up to an ag field. Last year they planted wheat. This year it is something else and I would like to know what it is. The field is being irrigated with a pivot. So it’s definitely a crop of some kind. Help! What is this?!
