Ran Red Lights on Williams Parkway

Ran Red Lights on Williams Parkway

I was tempted to call the police for dangerous driving for this biker running red lights on Williams Parkway yesterday evening.

How much is it to upgrade from a Fuse box to an electrical panel?

We have a 1200sq ft home. One of those semis that were built in the 1970s. We still have a fuse box that caused our AC to break again.

We have had a lot of emergency repairs this weekend and seems like we just couldnt get a break.

  1. We replaced our car this weekend since its been falling apart and starting to no longer be safe on the road so we just bought one for 28K using our LOC.

  2. Then this weekend, our 14 year old hot water tank (that im paying for out of a buy-out program by a now-defunct company Go Energy Clean) started leaking water damaging most of our laminate floors in the basement. It leaked overnight and still is leaking today on Thursday. We got scammed by OEG and Go Energy Group. We have over $1200 as balance for this still as it was in financing through FinanceIt. We are now forced to replace it with a tankless water heater rental through enercare and are installing it tomorrow. We have about $350-$400 of rework that would have to be done around the house to get it installed.

  3. Then the following day, this Monday, our 7.5year AC broke. I got Dr. HVAC to come and hopefully diagnose and repair, but theyre charging me $1250 for the immediate repair without guarantee, or $4500 to change the compressor in the AC, and get an electrician to change our fuse box to an electrical panel. I told them that id get a second opinion and called Convertible Air and Gas. I spoke to 2 people and was advised that it could be the fuse box that couldn't handle the amp of the AC unit. As we replaced the old one when we moved in when the fuse was blown and short circuited the AC.

  4. Our neighbours noticed the other day that a few shingles are missing from our roof, so there's that now too.

  5. Flooring that would also need replacing due to dangers of black mold.

We dont have a lot of money, we've used our tax refund to get the new (to us) car. And then all of this happening in a span of not even 1 week! Our net income is literally 90K for a family of 4. Its overwhelming and frustrating that sometimes I hate being a homeowner.

So how much do you think does it take to upgrade from a fuse box to a panel?

Also can you recommend contractors that do flooring and roofing repairs that are competitive in pricing and are honest and wouldn't upsell? Basically, catering to what we need at the moment.

Thank you!!

2018 Toyota Sienna SE

Just finally picked our (new to us) Sienna! And already can feel the difference of driving from a Mazda5 with the space and capacity, and not to mention the trims and specs that the husband and myself and the kids would fight about... separate climate control for driver and passenger, screen shades for the rear, space with both Graco 4ever Carseats, the screen in the back (which reminds me we have to buy their fave movies Sing, Sing 2, Frozen 1 and 2, and Encanto).

We bought it AS IS with 164,600 KM. Got it inspected prior to buying it all on the same day we checked it out. As a Catholic, I was praying and discerning whether this car would be for us and asked for signs whether it would be before even seeing it. And upon seeing it, one of the stickers in the car says Proverbs 3:5-6! And it checked out all of our boxes:

> Sunroof

> Rear screen - nice to have but not necessary

> White

> mileage below 165K (lol, it was pushing but it was below)

> Within our budget of $30,000 CAD in total (we paid $28,476)

It was literally just a matter of getting it inspected prior to buying and our trusted mechanic was so happy to see us replacing our old 2013 Mazzie, and to say goodbye to it.

Welcome Cece the Sienna. Hopefully and praying that this will last us longer than Mazzie did.

It was one owner and the owner took care of it (it is a little dirty now, but i can really tell its a "Moms Car" with the stickers (Live, Laugh, Love and Pink decal of a woman tired -- this is me!, and the proves 3:5-6) and the crumbs and a little Barbie nail file (she also is a girl mama).

Just sharing! As ive been on the hunt for 2 weeks ever since the horn on my Mazzie gave up, lol. And on top of the horn was a due oil change and a repair under the driver's arm and axle that would cost about $3000CAD. I think its meant to be.

Please train your Security. YOUR SECURITY "oN DuTy" had been on her phone the entire time we were waiting in line--which was about 20-30 min. Not even looking around to watch people and "guard".

In a span of 30 minutes, a lot can happen. So please screen whoever is going to be guarding your banks!

People of Brampton, make this viral please.
