Possible dumb question
New to the Sienna Fam. Do groceries fit fine in the trunk space? We make a Costco & Walmart run every week. Is that enough space? We have car seats in the 3rd row. Or is the cargo organizer worth it?

My Sienna back passenger tire has a nail. Looking to replace with good All Season tires. Google told me Michelin CrossClimate2, the Denfender2 or Bridgestone Turanza. Does anyone have an opinion or a fourth option that they know of? Thanks!
Our family is growing and wife and I are looking at options. We love the idea of a Sienna but the price tag is steep. We need AWD and the added height of the woodland edition would help immensely for our gravel driveway in the winter that doesn't get plowed. We can't afford to buy one new.
Found one local Gold Certified Pre-owned 2022 woodland edition 82k miles for $38.5k. I know that is spot on KBB value and what they're going for, I just can't get over the thought of spending that kind of money for a vehicle with that high mileage.
Any advice to help me get over the hesitation or talk me out of it?
These slots are pretty small and the third space is very compact. Curious if anyone has figured out what it works well for.
WAIT!!! What do you mean my brand new 2026 Toyota XLE won't fit in my garage? It's a two car garage! I had no idea that garages varied in dimensions. I was under the impression all 2 car garages were the same size. For context I'm in Florida.
I posted a couple of weeks ago asking about what color to go with we went with the Heavy metal and I LOVE it. The dealership tinted out windows nice and dark for us. It's lovely!
I just bought this 2009 Toyota Sienna for $2800. I had my mechanic look it over beforehand, and assumed they would tell me about things like this. My bad I guess, I'm not good at this whole adulting thing. Is this too much rust? What do I need to do??!
Thanks 😅
Toyota recommends oil changes every 10,000 miles on these minivans. However as I'm reading in a Prius subreddit they recommend oil changes every $5,000 or less even though Toyota says 10,000. To avoid problems in the future should we be changing the oil every 5,000 on our minivans?
My fuel mileage on my '22 FWD Sienna keeps going up as I have changed my driving behavior.
Here are some tips on maximizing your MPGs:
Make sure all 4 tires are at maximum pressure (go by the sticker on the drivers door opening).
Make sure EV Mode is on.
Make sure your alignment is dead-on. You need a good alignment guy for this.
Keep the MPG screen next to the speedometer on at all times to keep you focused.
Clean the air vents around your hybrid battery so it doesn't get too hot.
No junk in the trunk - get rid of the extra weight.
Run Toyota OEM 0W-16 oil and change every 5,000 miles.
Use top-tier fuel, such as Costco, Marathon, etc.
Drive like a little old lady. Accelerate slowly and try to make your stops long and steady (this recharges the hybrid battery).
No short trips. The engine needs to be warmed up. Take the longer route. You will burn more gas but get better MPG.
Don't expect great results on a brand new vehicle, the engine needs a good 60k miles to break in and get optimum mpg. If you have one with less miles, sell it and buy one with higher miles.
Turn off the AC. Tell your wife it's broken and costs too much to fix. Better yet, take your wife out of the car. The extra weight isn't helping. Keep the windows closed for better aerodynamics.
Wash the exterior.. Smooth paint has less wind resistance.
Resist the urge to drag race every sports car you see at red lights, despite knowing you could smoke them in your minivan.
Don't drive on the highway, but if you do, be sure to draft a semi trailer, 3" away from their bumper.
Keep your 4 way hazard flashers on. This will let other drivers know that you're going to be driving slow and disobeying traffic control devices.
Plan your trip around the topography. Go around the hills instead of over them. If you live in a part of the country with big hills or mountains, move somewhere flatter.
Check your local weather forecast and only drive in the direction that gives you a tailwind. This may require staying at your destination for several hours until the wind shifts the other way to go home.
It looks decent, normally i would powder coat but yeah I didnt want to waste 400$.
Always loved the all black look of the xse’s when seeing them. I prefer 17” wheels lately more rubber softer ride & my family tends to curb rash every wheel we have
How is everyone doing? I commute 30 miles daily , mainly freeway driving
I’ve been looking for a super lightweight camper to tow this summer. I don’t care if it’s a pop-up or a travel trailer, I just need it light! I used to drive a Ram 2500 and towed a 16,500lb camper regularly, so towing light is new to me. I’m looking under 2,000lbs but options are obviously limited, wondered if you have found something that works for your family that I might be missing! Thanks!
Driving across town and my Toyota map gets all askew! I’m on a major street but on the map I’m traveling beside it. Sometimes it shows me not even on a road. Anyone else experience this?!
We just picked up a 2025 XSE on Friday. And while my foot is still transitioning, how are y'all getting 35mpg? 150 miles in (yes, a small sample size) and I'm firmly at 30mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. And I'm on ECO mode.
Edit: first trip since this post. Changed from ECO to normal, tried to coast more and not be a led foot. Trip mpg avg 36.7! (All city driving for the school dropoff approx 7 miles roundtrip)
I took an uber today and the driver has these installed in his black woodland. I asked him where he brought it from but he had no response because of language barrier of some sort. Anyone else have these installed? Does it block the ability to wireless charge? I did a quick google search but wasn’t able to find anything. Where can I buy them?
Hi, we just got a 2025 Sienna (not sure what trim, but it has the bench seat). It became available for a good price and we jumped on it, and now trying to figure out how to make it work best for the family 😄
We currently have a 4yo in a convertible forward facing, and a 2yo in convertible rear facing. Baby #3 arriving soon, will be in a click-in infant seat. The 4yo still needs help buckling/unbuckling and isn't emotionally ready for a booster, 2yo is small for her age and will be rear facing for a few more years. For what it's worth, 4yo absolutely shuts down in response to other kids (including sibling) crying, so there's no benefit in having the oldest close to either of the littles.
How have you set up your Siennas? Looking around YouTube in the hours since the car came home, I'm realizing that while it's a win on a lot of fronts for our family, ease of car seats is not going to be one of them!
Situation:
My 2nd Gen Sienna's speedometer is off my about 4-5 mph (it if I am driving 69mph, it's actually 65mph (confirmed by phone gps).
Background:
I left my Sienna sitting idle for a good 3 years as it as a backup car. Yeah, I should have driven it every once in a while to keep the battery up but I didn't. My bad.
After deciding I would use it again as a daily driver, I had to get a new battery and smogged, etc. At the smog station, the tech said the car's "memory" was wipped or some verbage like that and that I need to drive for a half hour or so before he could test it.
So I am thinking the Sienna thinks I am driving around on different sized tires now and that's why the speed if off.
How do I fix this?
Thank you.
We purchased a 2026 Woodland Sienna in cement a few months ago. Love the van but want/need some of the features from the platinum trim. No kids and around 7000 miles when the new one arrives in a few months.
Figure I'll sell the Woodland but am not sure what to expect. Any guesses on how quick a private sell would go? Located in central US. TIA
Hello! I recently got a Toyota sienna LE and I would like to drive it up for about 6-8 hours! Are there any recommendations for preventative maintenance that should be done for this car?
I plan on replacing the rotors and brake pads / changing oil. The automatic transmission was also replaced recently (a year ago) and shifts fine!
Anything else I should cover? Thanks!!
This is in LA. Includes apparently 3350 worth of add ons. I can’t remove or add anything because it’s the car they have available at this time.
Edit : 52 K MSRP+ 5 K dealer markup + 7 K taxes and fees. Initially started at 64 K , came down to 60K but unwilling to go down further. includes entertainment package, cross bars, 18 inch bright wheels , inverter and spare tire and jbl audio. I was told this is only car available for them so no changes possible.
