Driver side view mirror saga - toyota corporate override?

I am frustrated and looking for some input if you've had similar experiences or suggestions on what else we can do. We purchased a brand new 2026 sienna LE from a dealer 2 hours from us. On our way home from this purchase, I noticed that the driver side view mirror glass is distorted. Looked like those wavy mirrors from a fun house.

We get back and I scheduled a service appointment at the toyota dealership near us. They looked at the glass and said yes its distorted, the ordered the part and replaced the glass. About 10 days after its installed, the same glass falls off, hanging on by the wires for heat thing. I call the dealership and bring it back in for service again. They ordered a new glass and replaced it again. This time it was replaced on a Saturday by a service advisor and not a mechanic.

5 months later, I come out to my car in the morning parked in my driveway, and the glass has fallen out again. I call the dealership, bring it in and the foreman points to a tiny scratch on the back of the driver side view mirror and said the glass fell out from impact to the mirror. It is a TINY scratch, there was no impact. They quoted me $150 to order a new glass. The service advisor and the mechanic both told me that the foreman is full of shit because that scratch would not have been enough impact to cause the glass to fall out.

So I took the car back, called the next day to speak with the service manager. Kept leaving messages for him to return my call. Sent an email. 4 days later still did not hear back, called again to leave a message for a return call. He finally calls me back and says I saw the picture from my foreman, this is from impact and we will not cover it under warranty. I asked if he needed to see it in person because the scratch is tiny. He said nope, he cannot override what the foreman decided. I told him ok I will contact corporate and go from there. He said sure go ahead if they override it then he will replace it for me.

Mind you, this is a brand new purchase less than 6 months old, less than 5000 miles on it. I have been driving around with tape on this mirror for over a week. I have been to the dealer 5 times for the same mirror between getting it "diagnosed" and then they have to order the part then coming back for the install. So its very time consuming and frustrating that now they are saying its not covered under warranty.

I called toyota corporate who started a case, 2 days later the dealership corporate office calls and basically summarizes what happened and what the service manager told her and they wont offer any assistance under warranty. So i call Toyota corporate back and they opened a new case and a case manager will call me back in one business day from toyota corporate office not the dealership to see what they can do.

Guess I am just venting. Has anyone else experienced problems with the distorted mirror or the glass constantly falling off? Now I am requested for them to replace the whole driver side view part with new glass because I'm thinking the whole part is defective and thats why the glass wont stay/clips keep breaking off. Has anyone had success with corporate overriding something and covering the cost?

3600 plus, wait for black friday?

I want to purchase 3600 plus for emergency fridge back up. I found it for $1619 from wellbot. Should I buy it from there (I read its an authorized dealer and I can register for warranty) or does it typically go for a cheaper price during black friday sale?

Filing bankruptcy with cash income

We have income from my husbands job as cash deposits and he also does side gigs for work that gets cash as bonus. So it isn’t steady but if we file, will our bank statements look to be problematic with the cash deposits? Although it would also show the consistent <$100 and negative balances every month. Feeling like we are drowning but nervous about the cash part
