Doorbell install - drilling question

EDIT - thanks for all the replies so far. Just a few things I wanted to clear up.

- I’m not going to drill the door itself at all, just the door frame.
- lots of mentions of composites but not sure if the door/doorframe is composite. Is there a photo I could post that would clear this up?

Hi there

Got one of those fancy home security set ups and it comes with this doorbell that needs to be wired. I’m thinking of installing it here. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t be able to drill through this bit of the frame? Or will I probably be fine?

Thanks

Hi all,

I put down this turf about 2.5 weeks ago. It’s looking ok but worried it hasn’t fully taken in a few areas. Not sure what to do other than keep watering it like mad. How worried should I be? Any advice welcome.

Also when should I be cutting it and how often? I assume I leave it for now?

You can also see that climber and the fruit tree overhang. It’s lovely but we’ve a north facing garden so that corner doesn’t get too much light. I’m considering chopping it back. We’ve hardy grass but eventually that corner will struggle right?

Lots of questions but I’m very much a first time gardener so would love to know what the community thinks would help this thrive.

Thanks
