Sauna culture in gyms is non existent. I Fng hate it.

I go to a fancy gym. Think heated swimming pool. Techno gym equipment everywhere. Smiling receptionists, great and friendly staff. But they cannot enforce sauna etiquette. Oh I've tried asking them several times. But then again, I see the same thing everyday.

People sitting on the wood with their sweaty underwear. They bring a towel and keep it to the side. Pouring water on their head while still being on the wood and making a mess. AND TALKING. SO MUCH TALKING.

I come from Berlin where the users police the etiquette inside saunas as a collective, so outliers do end up becoming quiet, bringing proper towels to use, and eventually conforming to the culture/standard. I tried to say once or twice to people to bring towels and stay quiet, but then I'm the only asshole who keeps making a fuss. Towels are just preventing a health hazard at more than anything but nobody seems to care.

I have to time my sauna visits during off peak hours just to enjoy some quiet time. It gets annoying after a certain point.

Anybody else with me on this?
