Which Ezekiel Stane design is your favorite? (Comic Image is from Invincible Iron Man Vol 2 #4

Comics

Iron Man 3: The Official Game

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore

Marvel Future Avengers

While he does appear in Iron Heart, I'm not counting it as a design because he doesn't really have a complete design. Including him here would be like including Felicia Hardy from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 as a Black Cat design.

My favorite is The Iron Man 3 Game because that was my introduction to the character. His eye catching design that is also his body really scared me when he first showed up. With my current lenses I think this design perfectly translates the comic design into what would work perfectly in live action.

If you had to give the first 7 suits nicknames like the Iron Legion suits what would you call them?

The Iron Legion suits have nicknames like Sneaky, Nightclub, Heartbreaker, Midas, Hot Rod, Red Snapper, Disco, Tank, Blue Steel, Silver Centurion, Shotgun, and Bones. Not let's try something similar with the original 7 suits.

I'll try but I'm bad at giving things names.

Mark I - Flamethrower(The Mark I has flamethrowers, nuff said)

Mark II - Argentum(the latin word for silver)

Mark III - I couldn't come up with anything

Mark IV - I couldn't come up with anything either

Mark V - Football(Tony calls the suitcase "football" when he asked Pepper to give it to him so this one is official)

Mark VI - Elemento(the spanish word for "element". This is meant to be a reference to the Mark VI being the first suit powered by the arc reactor with the new element that never got named).

Mark VII - Module(the Mark VII has modular capabilities like the shoulder pads and thigh pads with tiny missiles that can detach)

I'm sure we've all made the same mistake before.

I'm not trying to say we're stupid for not knowing the difference, I just wanted to make a meme about a misconception some of us have had.

For me I think it was because the suit was on the covers for any trade editions of the comic, so before I actually read it I just assumed that was the Extremis Armor.

Iron Man #132 summarized in one meme.

Note: this meme is supposed to represent a weaker being successfully beating a stronger one in a fight(Iron Man knocking Hulk out by using all of his suit's power into one fist in the comic) similar to the David and Goliath story. I am only telling you guys this because the meme keeps getting misused.

The original 2012 LEGO Minifigures seem to be based on concept art rather than the finished designs. (Credits to Ryan Meinerding and Phill Saunders for the Mark VI and Mark VII concept art respectively)

The Mark VI has no silver on it and the gold doesn't wrap around the legs, rather it has the same color scheme as the Mark IV.

The gold on the Mark VII's chest is wider and is facing a different direction. The silver on the legs is smaller too.

Exit: I just realized that the "Concept" Mark VII I showed is actually just the suit without it extra components. I just realized that the Mark VII is the MCU's attempt at a modular armor. While I was wrong and the design was actually used in the movie, it's still weird that the Minifigure is based on the suit at the very end of the finale rather than how it was in the majority of it.

Evolution of the Mark 7 in video games!

This is probably the Iron Man suit that has appeared in the most video games. It has been in:

Avengers Alliance

Marvel Contest of Champions

Marvel Strike Force

Marvel Contest of Champions again (he got a model and gameplay rework)

And Marvel Rivals.

What are your thoughts on Adrian Pasdar's Iron Man Voice?

He voiced him in basically everything in 2013 with projects such as the 2010's Marvel Cartoons prior to 2017, Iron Man 3: The Official Game, The Heroes United Animated Movies, LEGO Marvel Superheroes, and Disney Infinity.

I have fond memories of the games he was in, and he does an alright job at doing RDJ's mannerisms with a somewhat original sounding voice. He not the best, but I'm perfectly fine with him.

What are your thoughts on the designs for the villains in the movie tie in games?

Iron Man (2008):

Titanium Man

Melter

Whiplash (Marc Scarlotti)

Controller (Exclusive to previous(at the time) consoles)

Iron Man 2 (2010):

Crimson Dynamo (Valentin Shatalov)

Ultimo

Ghost

Mauler

Firepower (The latter three are also exclusive to previous gen consoles)

Iron Man 3: The Official Game (2013):

Crimson Dynamo (Unknown Identity)

Ezekiel Stane

Living Laser

MODOK (The Last three images are each of his different iterations throughout the game)

My overall thoughts:

While not my preferred looks for the characters, they perfectly fit the MCU so I gotta give the designers props for making the designs work perfectly for the world they're in. Iron Man 2 Crimson Dynamo is my favorite on this list and maybe my favorite look for the character. I do think some of them are completely unidentifiable as the character from just a glance. If you told me the second image was Melter I would laugh thinking it's a joke. Same with Whiplash and Ultimo for me honestly.

Which Nanotech Armor is your favorite? (Iron Man: The End, Invincible Iron Man Vol 2 #25, Invincible Iron Man Vol 3 #1)

Let's dive into the most controversial type of Iron Man Armor! I'll describe anything that makes them unique from a typical Iron Man Armor.

1 - The Smart Metal Armor

This Armor originates from an alternate timeline where Tony Stark is getting old and needs to retire and find a successor. This Armor can configure into several different modes. This is the first example of an Nanotech Armor in the character's publication history to my understanding.

2 - The Model 37/Bleeding Edge

Stored inside of Tony. This Armor can be summoned anytime he wants it too and can shape shift into any weapon Tony can imagine.

3 - The Model 51/ Model Prime

This Armor is basically a swiss army knife of Iron Man Armors with several different modes. Such as Stealth, Hulkbuster(in terms of bulkiness at least), and Samurai. He can create Arm cannons, and has similar shape shifting technology to the Model 37. It can also collapse into a bracelet Tony can wear, making it extremely portable and stylish.

4 - Mark L

The 50th Armor used by Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this Armor is stored inside of an Arc Reactor and has similar shape shifting technology as the armors above it, and can repair itself.

5 - Mark LXXXV(My favorite on this list)

The 85th Armor used by Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It does basically the same things as the Mark L but has a color scheme inspired by the Classic Iron Man Armors.

6 - Undesignated Rivals Armor

There's not much to describe apart from it's shape shifting capabilities. "MAXIMUM PULSE!"

Which Animated Suit up scene is your favorite?

1 - 1966 Cartoon https://youtu.be/zYM1My4-2UU?si=OpcH8vScI0ftjcub

Basically just how Tony suited up in the silver age comics. An oldie but a goodie

2 - 1994 Cartoon https://youtu.be/gT5MIg6H7G8?si=Pk9pQQp7lF1WDfJ3

The concept is cool but it makes no logical sense. The suit changes from grey to red and yellow, and Iron Man magically becomes 3D for no reason other than the technology was new at the time. I can respect that though as it was probably cool in 1994, back when 3D animation was obscure and Toy Story wasn't out yet.

3 - The Avengers Vs A.I.M. https://youtu.be/LOSj3eok22E?t=51&feature=shared

Very brief but effective. I like how you can hear an AI speak while the suit is assembling and is narrating what parts are added

4 - Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes https://youtu.be/VBGh0cVTeKw?si=9Soz8kwZMiidcPQL

I like the giant case that opens up like segmented faceplates and having Tony just step into it and get quickly suited up is pretty cool. I'm surprised this never happened in the show after this(at least from my memory, it's not impossible for me to be wrong). If you listen closely you can also hear that the song playing is Guy Michelmore's Iron Man theme.

5 - Iron Man: Rise of Technovore(my personal favorite on this list) https://youtu.be/fg5kYQVCgfc?si=4UGqYL4YQXoAn3Jn

The anime visuals, score, and overall epic concept of the brief case assembling onto Tony is just filled with aura and hype. It's like the Mark 5 suit up from Iron Man 2 on steroids.

What are your thoughts on Adi Granov's Iron Man art?

I think his style has a unique realistic and gritty feeling to it. It fits perfectly for more mature Iron Man stories like Extremis but I don't think it would really fit for the interior art of a usual Iron Man Comic. While it looks cool it's too time consuming to draw for interior artwork, so If Adi has to be involved with an Iron Man comic I would prefer he just does the cover art. If it's a miniseries then I would happy to have him do it.
