Goldman sachs VP bonus expectations

About to receive VP offer with Goldman Sachs Dallas location. This is with engineering back office division. I haven't received final numbers yet. Appreciate any insights into salary breakup . Base + bonus. How much can we push on base for Dallas location

For those at GS or who've left - realistically, what does VP bonus land at in a normal year? Is it actually close to what gets discussed verbally during offer negotiation, or does it tend to come in lower once review time hits? Trying to figure out if I should weight this as real comp or something I can't count on

Goldman Sachs VP Engineering (Dallas) - TC expectations

Hey folks,

I finished all my interview rounds for a Vice President (VP) role at GS Dallas location. I received word that I had mostly good feedback across the board, so I am expecting to hear back from HCM soon with next steps. So far communication is only through DL email

I want to reality-check my compensation expectations before I get on the phone with HR. I have a strong competing offer on the table right now, so I want to make sure I play the negotiation right.

  1. Compensation: I am planning to anchor with a $200k base. Is this realistic for a VP-level role in the Dallas market, or is this an overstretch?

2. Sign-on / Equity: How much room does GS typically have to push on the sign-on bonus to bridge the gap with tech-sector competing offers? Also, Do GS offer RSUs?

3. Timeline: For those who have been through this recently, how quickly does HCM typically move to a verbal offer after all rounds are finished when they know you have a competing deadline?

Any negotiation insights for GS Dallas specifically would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
