[Need Help] Elantra 2023 Blue hybrid: Broke Side view mirror After market part results in error on dash
Hyndai elantra hybrid blue 2023
I accidentally broke the passenger side mirror. The mirror was totally crushed, but the motor inside and the BSD indicator light was working fine.
I ordered an aftermarket part from Amazon. When I snap it on, I see this error message on the dash and the light on the left mirror (which works fine) turns on when I start the car, but the right one doesn't turn on.
I tried plugging and unplugging the pins multiple times, removing and actually reattaching them. I want to understand if this is an issue with the aftermarket part. I checked using my VIN number that the model number for the original mirror is supported by this aftermarket part and it's listed in the link below (87621-aa160). Can someone suggest, will, should I go ahead and order the OEM part for this or how should I go about it to fix this issue? Any other aftermarket part that's compatible that people can assist me with? Thank you.
Don't wanna spend ~$150 for the OEM if it's avoidable.
Additionally is this due to the 2 small pins or the one that connects to the BSD light? Does the ordering of the 2 small pins matter, I did unplug and turn them around still not success.
