Finally! New xDrive40i in Dravit Grey/Coffee.

Amazing car, first BMW (coming from Mercedes). So much fun to drive. Anyone else have trouble dialing in a comfortable seat position? So many more adjustment options than I am used to.

X5 xDrive40i - New Car Negotiation

Shopping for a new 2026 X5 xDrive40i in Texas and currently negotiating between two local BMM dealers. Both cars in dravit grey and are similarly optioned.

Best offers so far:

- Car 1: $82,710 OTD, 0.9% APR / 60 months (black + rear window shades)

- Car 2: $85,359 OTD, 1.9% APR / 60 months (coffee)

Car 2 dealer tapped out at the offer above but has my preferred interior color (coffee)… but obviously there’s a better price + financing difference on car 1.

I’ve seen some posts here with what look like considerably larger discounts off MSRP than what I’m being offered locally…Trying to figure out whether I’m already near the realistic floor or if there’s still a few thousand dollars on the table.

AD lost father-in-law’s DJ during warranty service. Anyone dealt with this before?

My FILs 2022 DJ 41 with the white Roman dial, smooth bezel, Oyster bracelet, and green warranty card was dropped off at our local Reeds Jewelers on May 22 for a warranty issue (date wheel stopped advancing properly).

Today (July 24), the store called to tell me the watch never made it Rolex. They said they cannot locate the package and acknowledged that it appears to have been lost somewhere in transit before it reached the service center (UPS was carrier).

To their credit, they didn’t try to deny anything. They apologized and said they would “make it right,” either by locating the watch or replacing it. They asked if we could give them until August 20 to complete their investigation before discussing a replacement.

A few questions for anyone who’s been through something similar:

- Has anyone had an AD lose a watch that was sent for Rolex service? Was it eventually found, or did they replace it?
- If it wasn’t found, did they replace it with an identical watch or reimburse you?
- Is there anything I should (or shouldn’t) do while they’re investigating?

We’re trying to be patient since they immediately accepted responsibility, but losing a Rolex is obviously a stressful situation. Just looking for advice from anyone who’s experienced something similar.

Thanks in advance.
