EFF but possibly collecting colostrum?

I am 29 weeks pregnant right now and considering collecting colostrum later in my pregnancy (with the OK from my doctor!), just because it’s there. Has anyone else ONLY collected colostrum and then not gone on to breastfeed?

We plan on EFF because I had a breast reduction in 2021 and have read about the difficulties of BFAR and that’s just not something I’m willing to deal with mentally, but hand expressing/pumping colostrum in case baby is jaundice or anything like that sounds appealing since I’m already able to hand express small amounts. (I don’t do that regularly, I just tried it out of curiosity after leaking in the shower lol)

Also, any tips for postpartum and milk coming in when you don’t want to BF?

Exclusively Pumping after BR?

I am currently pregnant and torn between Pumping or exclusively using formula. I had a reduction in 2021 at 20yrs old. Has anyone exclusively pumped? I see a lot of breastfeeding posts but nothing about specifically pumping.

Did you have any pain with pumping? That’s what I’m concerned about with the scar tissue. I also had some nipple necrosis, so my areolas aren’t round like they should be and are kind of jagged on the edges. Is this something that any of you have found to affect pumping?

I would love to hear firsthand experiences from people who have pumped!

AI in childcare?

I work for a center that has been using AI/chatgpt/etc for a lot of things recently (primarily for trainings to polish them, or making review quizzes for professional development). For teacher appreciation week, my face was put into one of these to generate a little matching image with all my coworkers. I personally am very against the use of AI for generating images of people, and I’m really frustrated that this happened to me but don’t know how to address it without being dramatic.

I am also expecting my own baby that i’m planning to send to my center and have seen other staff put kids pictures into AI to make coloring pages of them, and I would be so upset if my child was uploaded onto some AI site at all, let alone without my consent.

My management team is usually very open to discussions on this stuff, I just don’t want to go in hot headed or make it about myself when the real issue is the children’s pictures being uploaded without parent consent.

I personally feel like it should be a check box on enrollment forms, the same way we do with social media pictures, or it just shouldn’t be used at all in the classroom. I don’t know if I’m looking for advice or just looking to see if I’m alone in feeling like this, but I’d love to hear from professionals and parents on this topic

I love B.K. Borison’s books, as well as Elsie Silver and Emily Henry. I loveeeed Love and Other Words. I love a good second chance (especially when they date as teenagers then come back together as adults) or fake dating/fake marriage/marriage of convenience trope. Love a good open door scene as well.

I’m 25F in the midwest USA. My favorite show is The X Files (emphasis on yearning there).
