My rating of baby coasters for scared people
My husband and I are both terrified of most coasters, so we rode only the baby/family coasters. Below is my ranking and you are allowed to disagree and roast me for being an adult lady screaming on coasters meant for children.
(BEST)- The Racer
One of the most fun coasters I’ve ever been on. I made my lap bar really tight so I didn’t get air time at all, but I did get that weightless feeling in my stomach. We rode it twice— once on red, once on blue. For some reason I got nauseous the second time, but not until the very end. The Racer is really long, thrilling, and feels so nostalgic.Woodstock Express
Clearly, it needs a fresh coat of paint. That being said, this is SUCH a fun family coaster. The drops feel large and unexpected, and the ride is overall pretty comfortable.Adventure Express
This was fine. I really thought the theming was exemplary, especially compared to other rides in the park. As someone who is afraid of large drops, I really enjoyed the speed without airtime. The very end in the temple did feel like a letdown though.Woodstock’s Air Rail
For some reason I spent the entire time terrified that my husband was going to hit his feet on the steel bars below and die. This did not happen, and neither did a thrilling time. This ride lacked a wow factor, although I appreciate that it allowed me to try my very first inverted coaster! I won’t be doing one again.Queen City Stunt Coaster
I started getting nauseous on the second level of the helix. I loved the theming and the drops, and loved the unexpected dark part. I did not like the awkward pause by the fake explosives where I guess there used to be fire effects. I did enjoy feeling like I was riding in a hot wheels car and loved we got to sit first row.Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers
This coaster was extremely short which was great because I got nauseous for some reason. We sat towards the back and I loved that the backwards launch made us feel some anxiety! The only other backwards launch coasters I’ve been on are Good Gravy at Holiday World and Cosmic Rewind at Disney, and I much preferred those. That being said, I realize comparing Soap Box to Cosmic Rewind is like comparing apples to oranges, so really my low rating of this ride comes from how sick I felt after.
What nearby coasters would we like based on these reviews? I should never go to another theme park without anti nausea medicine.
