Hello, question about payee?

Hello, question about payee?

My mother got a call this week saying that she is now my payee. She has been told a few times that she wasn't my payee by the ssa office. My question is why would my account say "paper checks"? She gave them her information I think. Would it say that to stop it from going to my direct express? Don't know why I got two checks of my own just to get a payee but it's ok.

SSI Backpay Question... Again

Hello all I got my fully favorable decision letter March 3rd and my notice of award on May 4th. First payment was June 1st. I have spoken with my lawyer and they said no one at ssa would update them anymore since the case was "won". All she could say was in my notice of award it said they'd send me another letter about backpay and that backpay is sent within 40-60 days of noa. Google says 30-60 days after approval is when I should get my back pay. When I call the local SSA office I get transferred and they hang up or pose connection. Toll free ssa number says to call my local office and ask for a supervisor. So I did that and left a message but she did not call back. I am at a loss as they cut my food stamps to nearly nothing because of my 1st payment.

How long after approval did you all get your backpay??

Ssa account Backpay

Hello everyone my name is Daniel I posted a while back about getting approved. When I did get approved was March 5th of this year but I just got my first monthly check Monday on June 1st. June 1 was 89 days past approval. I got my notice of award with my back-payment total on May 4th. The letter did not detail dates when I will get my first backpay check. I know my total backpay but don't see any way to figure out when the first payment is coming. I called ssa number a few times both local and national and most of them seem to not be on the same page. My ssa account does not show my backpay. :(

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a way I can check my back-payment information online or via phone?

Hello, my son who should soon receive his SSI, and I share this reddit account. He was approved on March 4th, set up PERC March 23, we had to go in to the local office make me his payee on March 30, turned in the info needed and was told we would be updated in a week. Well, it's now April 29th, and we have not gotten mail updating us on the situation. I called the local office here, and when they transfer me to someone who can help, it just hangs up each time. I called the ssa toll free number, they won't tell me anything because I'm not finalized as his payee. No portal update either. I do understand it has not been 60 days (it's been 56) and sometimes it takes 90 or more. I am trying to figure out how to get any update at all, does anyone know how we can get an update????
