Trunk Storage - $10 Costco
Figured I’d share to those in need of one. Collapsible and nearly perfect length. Looks like it sells for $25 on Amazon too. Cheers.

Seeking advice on how to kill and prevent this growth from spreading in my gravel? Looks to be spread from neighbors yard and let’s just say HOA has its eye on it.. I have used glyphosate, vinegar/salt/soap, and hand pulling. It just comes right back.. I am thinking maybe pull back the gravel, remove all growth then compact and cover with weed barrier? Any suggestions are appreciated! Thank you.
Edit: also want to add that a large Ash tree is directly to the right and canopy is covering this area so roots are underneath.
Came from Tundra to a 2021 Premium non-airbag. Anyone towing occasionally with this? Trailer+Sxs are about 3000lbs total. Deciding if stock suspension is sustainable or do I need an airbag helper or use a medium duty spring?
2021 Premium Sport with 49k miles.
Beyond Shiftpower pedal controller, FitCamX dash cam, ceramic tint - I am nearing the lift, wheels and tires stage. General use is daily driver with occasional mild off road exposure and also weekend towing of side by side (1k pound trailer / 2k pound sxs). Not pushing to its limits off road as that’s what the sxs is for.
- ~2.5” Bilstein 6112/5100
- 2” medium duty rear spring to assist with towing sag
- Total Freedom UCAs
- Method MR703 17” +0 offset
- 275/70/17 Toyo Open Country R/T (coming from way too heavy Wildpeak AT4 on Tundra, these are the lightest off road capable in that size with excellent reviews)
Open to reviews or suggestions but I feel like this is a mild semi-budget friendly build that will suit all needs. I was also frugally deciding between this and a simple level with 265s to save some money, but buy once cry once as they say..
I know I know, dead horse here.
As many videos and forums as I have read, I still cannot get a full read on which unit to go with. Especially with both being at exact same price of $1350.
Hamilton has excellent customer service and warranty but is quite boring for the price to be honest.
CarLinkLife apparently has okay customer service but is more modern, larger screen and highly adaptable to addons.
Hamilton seems to be peer reviewed as more reliable but I haven’t hear too much good or bad on the CLL unit.
I have picked these two due to tactile climate control, CarPlay and history in the market. It’s also worrisome to see both on AliXpress for half the cost but these companies say they are “different” than the Chinese ones that look exactly the same. Also, how does Phoenix Automotive version measure against CLL? https://phoenixautomotiveinc.com/products/12-5-android-12-13-fast-boot-horizontal-screen-navi-radio-for-lexus-gx400-460-2010-2022-models?currency=USD&country=US&variant=45469811015866&utm\_source=google&utm\_medium=cpc&utm\_campaign=Google%20Shopping&stkn=0fee9de56106&utm\_source=google&utm\_medium=cpc&gad\_source=1&gad\_campaignid=22686115634&gclid=CjwKCAjw1IHTBhAaEiwA4AYNFimRP7lp7DopxA3Sfmd2u-AiOA\_ME3fDh\_B8b6Af4p73q534Q7h3ShoCVTYQAvD\_BwE
Open to any and all experience with both and appreciate everyone’s time!
PS GXBob video here as well but still undecided. Even he won’t say which is “better” because he is being paid by both.
Coming from many Toyotas, most recently a 2024 Tundra (I lost all trust in their engine recall remedy).
I have an expensive habit of needing to quickly make vehicles my own right after purchasing, so looking for suggestions on some upcoming upgrades.
CarPlay: I have read all the threads but most are outdated and don’t have the comparison I am looking for. I know that I want tangible climate control, so Hamilton Premium looks to be most recommended (albeit more than I’d like to spend on that). There is also a GX550 style upgrade that looks good but haven’t seen it measured up against the Hamilton. Any thoughts/reviews on these two or any other suggestions to throw in the hat?
Roof rack: I had Gobi on my 4runner and it was bulletproof, but heavy as hell. Looking for a similar style but lighter weight. I generally use to strap down heavy duty totes and gear for camping. So far, I like the low profile Westcott ($1000) and the low profile Sherpa ($900). The LFD rugged cross bars ($600) look appealing as well due to the price point. Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated.
Apologies for the long winded questions!
