Ethics Question
I'm a PM for just under 5 years and had something happened a couple of weeks ago. It doesn't sit right with me. I had a senior lawyer tag some PII files for production. Said he was not sure about them but produce anyway as natives. (I know this sounds off already.) I refer to my manager who tells me it's his decision. The production failed QC by another colleague for the PII. I get bashed by my manager about not confirming that the lawyer "understood" what he was producing.
I'm blindsided by my manager's position and what I think is placing the blame on me. The lawyer is barred in a few states. Did I mention that it's 2026? Comments, thoughts on I should handle since it does not feel like it's blown over. Has anyone had this happen before?
