Quebec Business Class PR - Wait Time 82 months 👀

I got my CSQ for PR last year. I'm now moving to Quebec on a temporary work permit while waiting on my federal PR application.

Was curious how long the PR process would take and just learned the wait time for Quebec Business Class stream is 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 82 months.

What is the story behind this? Is the province of Quebec doing anything to get these 3700 entrepreneurs bringing their money/know-how into the province?

Also would be great to know if anyone else is in this stream and what they've been advised.

Obviously investment can only happen with some legal certainty/future visibility and this is signaling the exact opposite of that ("come, pay taxes, make investments, but you may have to leave in 3 years").

It's giving me PEQ vibes.

Ever Seen A Biz Where Cold Outbound Doesn't Work?

I've spent my 15 years in software entrepreneurship generating most of my business through cold outbound email. We did millions of revenue per year, small business, F500 clients, etc so I like to think I know a thing or two about cold email.

Then I started this new SaaS... the approach was 'George in Seinfeld doing the opposite of everything his instincts tell him to do'. So unlike traditional SaaS, it is 100% self-signup, no subscriptions, no contracts, no sales person. Just pay per use/credits. I had already done the 'vc approach' to SaaS before and while it paid the bills, I never had any exit, so I thought, why not try a different way?

Well, it worked... the business is growing 6% MOM completely organically and is extremely profitable.

BUT, when I tried adding outbound cold email as a layer on top of it, I'm seeing zero results.

I'm getting a really solid 15% email-to-free-signup conversion with an offer of $X in free credits and half of those users deplete the full credits, showing it is working. But they just aren't converting to paid.

Thought I was doing something wrong so I had one of my friends who runs an extremely reputable cold email agency do two months of sending, same result (at least it's consistent).

I am a bit stumped. Because this business is the 'opposite' of everything I've known, I'm wondering if it's the product, or the free signup nature of it, or what. Curious if anyone else has a freemium SaaS type business where they experienced anything similar?

Just bought a 2012 rav4 and am suspecting the Viscous Coupler Bearing is starting to go.

- Super consistent jet engine noise going from 0-30mph and that stays there. It's subtle and honestly sounds cool, I thought it was a feature of the v6.

- In u-turns, a couple times i felt a violent back and forth jerking. It has only happened twice out of maybe 50 times but it was definitely there and bad.

- I feel the slightest back and forth jerks on flat roads around 30mph.

I understand there is a way to test it by disabling the AWD system by pulling a fuse. Apparently that kills power to the rear and should kill the jet engine noise. Has anyone done this? This is the type of thing I would prefer to get confirmation from someone before doing what AI tells me, since I'm fairly n00bish with car mechanics... I can just about change my oil, change tyres and the head unit, but that's about it :)
