My mum just told me that she will prevent me being buried in a Muslim graveyard because I don’t pray
Really confused by this ? I have relatives who don’t pray and I’ve never heard this being bought up to them before. I don’t really see myself as a Muslim but I still would like to be buried the way most Somalis would. I’m already respectful to my mum and listen to her Islamic speeches but her telling me she will tell the sheikh once I die that I was an awful Muslim , I’m honestly speechless. My mum always had vision for me since I was kid and that was for me to turn out super religious. I don’t have a strong relationship with my mum but I’m actually hurt by her saying that. I didn’t really bother to argue but I said that’s insane?? And I named so many relatives we have that don’t pray. Everyday, I get reminders that I’m basically a kaffir and it’s just so mentally draining.
