LG 83 C6H Uniformity Improvement

Posting this because I’ve seen a lot of people with new LG OLEDs that have uniformity issues out of the box. Lots of comments immediately jump
to saying “return it”

I bought my 83 C6H a couple of months ago and didn’t have time to fully unbox it until now. When I first turned it on I noticed some blotchy spots in menus on my Apple TV. Pulled up a test video and the uniformity was terrible. I thought I was screwed since the return window passed.

Decided to let the TV run for several hours based on suggestions I read, since the TV is supposed to run a light pixel refresh cycle after 4 hours of use. I had low expectations, but the difference is night and day.

So not to say that some uniformity issues aren’t permanent, but give it 4-8 hours of runtime before you draw a conclusion.
