Bodø Glimt just got nominated today for Ballon d'Or Best Men Club of the Year award, a club that we don't have in game. I don't think the Norwegian Eliteserie license should be that expensive, if it is then they could at the very least add it as a generic league. Same goes for other leagues that produce lots of talents like Sweden, Austria, Czechia, Greece etc.
But no, Konami loves to waste slots on very random leagues such as the Malaysian or Moroccan ones. What pisses me off the most is they add these low tier leagues and then proceed to do nothing with them. When they can at the very least expand the European pool so we can have more choices in UCL packs (or if they start to bother with Europa/Conference League packs aswell).
I'm facing very terrible lag today in the Italian themed event. I have never experienced this much delayed inputs. My players cant do one touch passes, always taking heavy touches and i don't wanna speak about how bad the shooting is. Lost 2 of my matches just because i couldn't play the game properly (currently sitting at 5W 2L record). No clue how i managed to win those 5 matches, all of them felt terrible to play.
KONAMI please invest into better servers i beg you.
No, this is not a begging post, Konami is extremely stingy with coin distribution towards F2Ps, which caused a pretty big power gap lately. Highlight cards are nowhere near the Epics these days and the only way to improve your squad is to gamble, which most of the playerbase is not willing to do due to coin scarcity.
Each month, Konami usually releases 8 150 packs (sometimes more even). So let's use the math. In worst case scenarios you'd have to spend 12500 coins (about 100 euros worth) to get the card you want. Now multiply that with 8. If you want to clear every pack each month you'd have to spend exactly 100000 coins (800 euros worth).
A F2P player only earns 600 coins a month (not counting campaigns, and that's if you do the PvP themed events each time). So an average player would have to grind for about 20 months just to clear a single pack which is just pure insanity.
Let's compare that to another gacha. I'll use Persona 5: The Phantom X as an example. SEGA drops a new character each patch bi weekly or tri weekly. To pull a character at worst case scenario you'd have to spend 16500 gems (110 euros). To max out the character you'd need to spend 115500 gems (about 1000 euros) if you're truly unlucky. Those numbers may seem far higher than eFootballs box clear, but SEGA at the very least gives just enough currency to active F2Ps each patch to be able to get a single copy of a character. They give gems in various ways like in campaigns, logins, daily missions, leaderboards, story content etc. so you have a reason to play the game. Konami on the other hand does not do this. They barely give any modes to play and coin rewards are so low and instead they just spam you with worthless training XP which just results in people not playing the game. Strike Arena mode literally died in this way because they outright removed currency related rewards. Nobody wants to grind a mode that only gives XP.
I think they should buff the monthly coin amount from 600 to 12500, by not only drastically increasing the rewards, but also introducing new ways to grind for them. Now Konami shills may call me crazy here for suggesting this, but F2Ps would still miss out on the 7 other packs a month that drop even with this amount. Not only would we see a much healthier competition, but also an increase to both player count and player retention since people would have a reason to play the game.
EDIT: OK i maybe exaggerated with 12.5k coins but you get the point i was trying to make.
Decided to give this a go after quickly achieving Div 1 on the PvP ladder this season. Oh my god, if pressure spammers in PvP weren't enough, AI takes it to a whole different level. Constant pressure and double teams, intercept/instant pass (???) whenever they get the ball, every player having long reach tackle etc. The scripting is just insane, whenever AI plays the ball it disobeys laws of physics. They also play the exact same no matter what team you get. Deep line defense, constant pressure and counter attacks that punish every time. No wonder why everyone opts for this playstyle in PvP aswell, because the script is very biased towards it. To top it all off, it's like the AI players have 99 in every stat possible. Meanwhile you can't do anything to them, gotta rely on pure luck. I've played over 70 matches and im still hovering around low 1700s.
This thing is a war crime machine and needs a heavy revamp pronto.
UPDATE: Yeah I'm not gonna even bother with this. Reached 1790 needing one more win to get promoted only to meet a 5 game losing streak to some of the most scripted matches in history. Got sent down to 1674. Fuck this mode.

Don't tell me we are losing yet another licensed team...

Since the world cup has started, i decided to compile a list of all national teams in the game whether they got licensed players or not. I will be only listing teams that are found in national category, not AFC Asian Qualifiers or CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2025 categories. Let's begin:
NTs with licensed players:
Asia and Oceania: Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Republic, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand.
Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkiye, Ukraine.
Africa: Botswana, Cameroon, Congo DR, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, South Africa, Zimbabwe.
North and Central America: Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama.
South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.
NTs with fictional unlicensed players:
Asia and Oceania: Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China PR, Hong Kong, IR Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Korea DPR, Kuwait, Laos, Lebanon, Myanmar, Nepal, New Caledonia, Oman, Qatar, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Timor-Leste, UAE, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
Europe: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Northern Ireland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Wales.
Africa: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Tunisia, Zambia.
North and Central America: Canada, Curuçao, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Suriname, USA.
South America: Ecuador.
Good to see their sound team is still around, we haven't see them composing anything in more of a decade now:

Could this pave the way for WEPES era soundtrack album releases in the future?
It's clearly rushed and downgraded, while they charge you more for less stuff in packs. I'll list couple of stuff that's been outright removed or dumbed down:
No leaderboard event for representing your selected nation in the tournament, which was another source of earning coins.
No trophy celebration animation when winning the cup which breaks immersion.
Some NTs like the hosts USA, Canada and Mexico are completely filled with fictional players. Which makes the whole tournament look unrealistic.
Selection contracts somehow being far worse than those from 2022, while also reusing the same vomit design from the current Messi ambassador pack.
2 premium packs instead of 4, which also cost far more, while also removing retro WC kits to acquire from last time like Brazil 2002, Japan 2010 and Argentina 2014, removing big times with custom player models, instead they replaced them with "Epic" (more like showtimes with perma B form) cards that reuse current season models and last but not least removing trainer EXP.
When compared to EA FCs World Cup update, eFootballs attempt screams laziness to me. EA managed to get new NT licenses like Bosnia, while Konami didn't bother to do anything. Not even update the generic NT teams which are filled with fictional players like i mentioned.
They appear as generic teams in eFootball Kickoff, source:

Probably getting removed from the game in tomorrows 5.5.1 patch.
Stadium announcer got recently updated and it now acknowledges the newly qualified nations in the World Cup. 4 of them are currently unavailable in exhibition and those are:
Which leads me to believe they could get added to exhibition soon (i mean why wouldn't they, the World Cup is coming). That would also mean more GP players without a team (free agents) getting added to the pool and more NT themed cards in packs.
Had if Konami fixed their servers and greatly reduced the input lag, Smart Assist wouldn't be that overpowered, because you'd be able to be faster in stopping these kinds of players. In my opinion, the whole real advantage of Smart Assist is just the AI correcting or adjusting the input, nothing else.
Throw input lag out of the window and these assist "players" wouldn't even be able to score a single goal.
