3 FAANG Internships and No Job
Hello!
I am a recent graduate (2026 batch) with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from a tier 3 college. In my second year I interned with Amazon, third year with Google and in the fourth year I had a return internship from Amazon. Everything was going exceptionally well, I was having a dream run, then life happened.
Just after my first internship, my sister (only 16 years old) got diagnosed with schizophrenia and our family had to face various hardships.
Ever since, everything has been going south. My internship with Google got sour due to the assigned mentor (he got fired this year in Feb, after ruining my internship experience) somehow managed to complete the project, have a great final presentation, was appreciated by the director of my org, yet got waitlisted on conversion because the hiring for my Host was freezed. Still on the waitlist.
About my third internship, this one 6 months, halfway through the internship, my dad had a stroke, suffered paralysis, went into coma and just so you know, my sister is still not well, still under a lot of medications, dropped out of school and everything.
Told my complete situation to my manager yet ended up without an offer. He said and I quote "things happen in everybody's life, you should know how to handle them without affecting your work." Mind you, I am the only earning member of my family and have nothing now.
I need your help in finding remote jobs now, please help!
