Gut Check Medicare for Parents

Can someone fact-check me on research on my Mom delaying Medicare A + B without penalty?

My mom is turning 65. She is still working. She is under my dad's health insurance which is > 20+ employees. My dad also has an HSA.

She asked me to look into Medicare and to avoid penalty. But from my research she seems fine?

Are these points true?

  1. There's no penalty for Part A and my mom wouldn't pay for this in the future when she decides to get it. My mom should delay this because my parents contribute to an HSA via Dad's Health insurance. She should only get Part A when Dad stops contibuting to HSA.
  2. My mom can delay Part B because she has health insurance via my dad and she's still working.
  3. She would only apply for part B whenever she loses coverage from my dad (he also decides to retire) He is 63 and not planning on to soon. She would apply via a special enrollment period.
  4. even if my mom decides to retire, the above points 1-3 is still true as long as she is still under dad's health insurance.

Thanks in advanced.

cubes with Dash 30 oz eletric lunch box review!

Recently saw someone here with an eletric lunch box and also wanted to try - i have an office job with an outlet at my desk.

short review:

My overall review: 4/5 stars!

Notes: Mostly Set and forget it (or maybe a con) just need to mix at least once around 1.5 hr.

The lunchbox itself is cute. This one requires to be plugged in and out manually (no buttons controls).

Theres a lock mechanism with the handle. Reminds me of playcool coolers.

Longer review:

It takes at least 3 hours for me for it to get to a nice hot meal, at least for soupy/stew frozen items! Take that for what you will! I also assume that I have to mix it otherwise it heats unevenly or takes longer.

I have off-brand Souper Cubes.
I’m using the Hot2Go 30 oz eletric lunch box by Dash.

My curry cubes go just a tad past the fill max line, but works once its melting. The lid doesnt fit flush so I just need to make sure not to fill it to the max in the Souper cube.

Picture 1: Just placed in lunch box. Pictured is homemade japanese curry, white rice fiber mix, and frozen peas.

Picture2: Is at hour one. Not much movement at all.

Picture 3: is hour two. Still partially frozen curry but the rice seems at least lukewarm. Im able to mix it.

Picture 4: Hour three is nice and warm :)

I am very much team microwave, I dont have ant issues with microwaving at work, but the break room can get crowded and I dont like hogging it..

I just thought this would be fun to try! :)

Rice Recipe:

Yes this is the recipe:

https://sarasparkypark.substack.com/p/high-protein-high-fiber-white-rice

For me its four servings:

Ingredients (4 servings)
1.5 cups white rice, short or medium grain
3 tbsp hemp seeds
3 tbsp ground flaxseed
2⅓ cups water
½ cup frozen green peas

Rinse just the white rice.

Stir together the water, hemp and flax seed so everything is evenly distributed.

Let it soak for 30 minutes.

After the 30 minutes, spread the frozen green peas evenly on top (no need to stir).

Cook in rice cooker on regular setting.

note: Once finizhed, you might see some soluble fiber it looks.. unappealing but after mixing its pretty good and doesnt taste too healthy and I can still enjoy white rice and very easily freezable. U can also customize the peas with corn 🌽

my nails popped off tabs save the day!

retail brand: bt art box
nail tabs: bt art box

I have Bt art box xcoat tip clear pressons in short almond. I used glue tabs then Bt art box builder then + a couple coats of Taylor Jelly Gel Polish + stickers (aliexpress) + btartbox top coat for fun at home. not for sale.. just a diy

Ive never used a gel polish before and realized I put too many coats so it looks a littel thickums

BtArtbox gel press ons and their regular press ons can last me up to two weeks, but I usually have to fix my pointer fingers about 1 week in.

With this set they came off after 5 days so my application probably wasnt the best this time! They popped off today getting ice cubes out of the tray 🤣
