long overdue upgrade from GTX 1050
hi, i am considering upgrading my PC as i’m now struggling to run a lot of games, in particular cities skylines 2, which i cannot run even above 5fps. in particular i think upgrading the graphics card would be the right move, although any other tips would be appreciated as i dont really know anything about PC’s.
here are the specs:
CPU - intel i7-7700k
GPU - nvidia geforce GTX 1050
RAM - 32GB
motherboard - asus h110m-r
for the graphics card, i have a budget of anywhere between £100 - £250. i would prefer it to be on the lower end as i dont need anything crazy but if i need to pay that to get a decent one then so be it.
the only upgrades i have made over the years are switching out the CPU from an i5 something to the i7-7700k, going from 8gb ram to 32gb (just for cities skylines 1 lol), and adding a 1TB SSD.
also i dont really know anything about fans or cooling etc and i haven’t changed anything regarding that since i bought it in 2016/17. everything has been fine so far though.
your help would be massively appreciated!
