Unable to swap Primary/Dependent on CGI Federal / US Visa Scheduling portal — options?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to switch the primary applicant and dependent on my parents' US visa application profile. Currently, my mother is listed as the primary applicant and my father is added as a dependent on her profile.

I want to switch this so that my father is the primary applicant and my mother is the dependent.

However, after speaking with support, they informed me that:

  1. If I remove my father as a dependent from my mother's primary profile, I won't be able to add my mother as a dependent to my father's primary profile later.
  2. The only two options they provided are:
    • Keep as is: Mother stays as primary and father stays as dependent.
    • Separate profiles: Remove my father as a dependent, but then they cannot be linked again—meaning both parents will have to create/use separate profiles and book/attend their interview appointments separately.

Has anyone encountered this issue on the CGI Federal / US Visa Scheduling portal? Is there any workaround or trick to swap primary and dependent status without forcing them into separate interview slots, or is keeping it as-is/separating them truly the only option?

Any insights or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Unable to create and submit a Case

Is anyone encountering this similar issue? I am attempting to create a case to unlink a dependent profile on the US Visa Scheduling portal; however, upon clicking submit, the system displays this page(Sorry you have been blocked. You are unable to access usvisascheduling), and the request is neither created nor submitted.
