I just came across two new tracks called “Love’s Refugee” and Love’s Prologue Credited to Syd Barrett on Spotify, released just now. I can’t find any information about this song, and it sounds nothing like Syd. So I’m wondering if anyone knows what this actually is. Is this some random song that was falsely uploaded under Syd’s name, or does anyone recognize the recording?
I wouldn’t call myself a superfan, but I really enjoy their albums and think they make consistently great music. I’m trying to get one of my friends into Arctic Monkeys, and so far the only song that’s really clicked with him is “Fluorescent Adolescent.” He’s always talking about how he “doesn’t like rock,” but it seems to me that when an Artist fuses Pop into their Rock song he seems to enjoy it ex. Fluorescent Adolescent, Beabadoobee, Dominic Fike, Olivia Rodrigo, and Rex Orange County.
That was a lot so if you’re still with me please give me your most accessible Arctic Monkeys songs or songs that give off this vibe. I’ll use this as an opportunity to explore songs i haven’t given a proper shot as well
