Sugars stabilized like magic

Hello, I'm new to Mounjaro and I'm SO glad this group exists. I went looking for a Mounjaro subreddit hoping I wouldn't be swimming in a sea of non diabetics. So thank you 🙏🏻

I'm so excited because I started Mounjaro Friday night (it's Sunday), and I've only had minimal nausea. I was really nervous because Ozempic did me wrong, I really didn't want to go through that again. But in the last two days my sugars have been more stable then they have been ever in the history of my diagnosis (2004). This is a huge deal for me! I'm reading about people getting OFF of insulin?!?! Like are you sure???!!

That's also scary. I had diabetic ketoacidosis in March of 2025 because I stopped taking my insulin. Ended up in the ICU. And my Endo is pretty hands off so I'm nervous about anything he tells me to do, tbh. Anyway, everyone's story is really making me feel like this could work. I could actually get some relief from my diabetes 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️

Youth Groups in KW

My daughter is 16 and moved to Kitchener at the beginning of the year. Starting a new school in the middle of the year was a challenge and while she is a happy sweet girl, she's also got a lot of social anxiety. It's July and she hasn't got a solid friend that isn't online. My daughter is a Christian and I feel like a youth group would be a great place for her to meet people and do fun things in the community. I'm wondering if there is a youth group that stands out as a positive environment that anyone can recommend?

My daughter has physical challenges so a sports based group wouldn't be her first choice unless it's low key/all abilities/designed to be inclusive.

What did you read recently that absolutely floored you?

One of the characters in my book mistook Drano for Coca-Cola and drank it, resulting in the bottom part of his face being melted off leaving a moist glistening gnarly patch of scarring. I must say very graphic and unexpected!

What is something you really thought you wouldn't like but ended up being better than you expected?

Recently I tried the Roar Berry Lemonade hydration packet and I have to say that its pretty good! I thought it would sit in my stomach weird or taste salty but no, I added more than the recommended water and ice and it was really good!
