Hosting with a 2yr old toddler
My (33 F) husband (35 M) and I are seriously considering hosting a female student for the first time this year and need to make a decision quickly. We do have a 2 year old daughter and plan on having more children soon, but are not currently pregnant. How have others experiences been with toddlers in the home, or with hosting while pregnant?
We also live in another state from both of our families and I am concerned about their reactions (esp my family as they are more close minded). I know it doesn't really matter- they don't live under our household or pay our bills, but I can imagine it will be a lot of explaining. I'm wondering if other people have dealt with this and how?
We feel like we have the space in our homes and hearts to host. I was crying last night reading some of these profiles written by students and their families and feel called even more to help share this unique opportunity.
