Is there any explanation other than no one replaced this filter since it came from the factory? It was a pain to remove but it was also in a difficult spot which could have been part of the difficulty. The machine was an RTV X100C. The filter was grey matching the engine block which as far as I know means it was the original. No markings on it and the grey paint chipped off during removal from the tool I ended up using.

Just crazy to think it was the original.
