Beefing up upper (Double) birds mouth rafter-top plate connection

I’m building a 16x30 shed and I really don’t like the upper birds mouth to top plate connection. I was told to do a double birds mouth on the 20’ 2x10 rafters.

Is there some type hanger that can better carry the load of the bottom of the rafter and carry into the top plate? I really don’t like how much lumber gotten bitten out. What’s the strategy here?

Lynx in Orange County

I went home for lunch between jobs and yikes, I find this momma lynx encircling my chicken run. The cat was HUGE. Very concerning. If anyone else has chickens I’d suggest keeping a sidearm close by. This was 2pm in the heat in the middle of the day.

Landfill questions

First off, does anyone know how to actually connect with someone from public works at the Landfill? I’ve tried calling two different numbers on their webstie multiple times today and yesterday and it just rings and rings and rings.

Anyway, can I back up to the landfill with my dump trailer and dump construction/demo debris? I’ve been a few times and they always make me separate any wood material, and pull out all the fasteners and hardware which is a PIA. This doesn’t have any wood—mostly Sheetrock and residential construction waste (some mold tbh). Can I back right up and dump? If yes will I get 8 flats on each of my tires from nails or do they keep it clean?
