Building a platform for trekkers. Looking for honest feedback.

Hi everyone,

Over the past few months, I've been building a platform called Pahad Paglu for the trekking community.

The idea came from a problem I kept facing while planning treks—information was scattered across operator websites, blogs, YouTube videos, Reddit posts, and WhatsApp groups.

So I started building one place where trekkers can:

🏔️ Discover treks across India

⚖️ Compare treks and operators

⭐ Share honest trek reviews

📸 Upload trek photos

✍️ Publish trekking stories and blogs

📖 Explore mountain history, myths, and local legends

The website has just gone live, and it's still very much a work in progress.

I'm not looking to sell anything. I'm looking for trekkers who are willing to explore the platform, point out what's missing, and help shape it into something genuinely useful.

If you've got a few minutes, I'd really appreciate your feedback.

If you've completed a trek, I'd also love for you to add a review, share your experience, or publish a story. The goal is to build a platform that's driven by the trekking community itself.

Any feedback—good or bad—is welcome.

Why is there no IMDb for trekking?

Every time I plan a trek, I end up opening 10 different websites.

One operator says it's "easy."

Another says it's "moderate."

One says the altitude is 12,000 ft, another says 13,500 ft.

Then I have to search Reddit for real experiences because I don't know which information to trust.

It made me wonder...

Why isn't there a single platform where trekkers can:

Compare treks side by side

Read genuine trek reviews

Discover the history, myths, and stories behind mountains

See real community photos instead of only promotional images

That's exactly what I'm building with Pahad Paglu.

It's still in the early stages, and I'd rather build it with feedback from trekkers than guess what people want.

If you could add one feature to your ideal trekking platform, what would it be?

I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts.

What's one trek that completely exceeded your expectations?

We've all heard about Kedarkantha, Valley of Flowers, Hampta Pass, etc. But I'm curious about the treks that surprised you. A trek you didn't expect much from, but ended up becoming one of your favorites.
