Last Fantasy 2012 MV vs 2024 live performance
I recently discovered that IU made an MV for Last Fantasy as a gift for her fans on the day of her graduation back in 2012 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWtwkrGpp4w). It features her tour in Japan and includes some clips from her performances.
I honestly had not listened to that song very much before--mostly I would listen to "You & I" from the Last Fantasy album. I was curious about other performances of this song that were publicly available, and I found her 2024 live performance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0lus004uoc). Seeing the two videos side by side of a teenage IU full of hope moving into her 20s and an older, more mature IU really made me emotional...
It feels almost symbolic as well that she is wearing a black dress in most of her performances back in 2012 and a beautiful silvery white one with a crown in 2024. It is also incredible to see how much larger her stage and audience have grown. As a fan, I just feel so proud.
