A spoiler-free opinion, in as vague of terms as humanly possible:

I think it places very roughly where Bel Ami and Producers are. Two strong points of the show:

• Leading actors
• Lavish production

Thanks to its strong points, Perfect Crown, on a scale of 1 to 10, is Somewhere-Between-5-and-10.

Bel Ami had better comedic moments, particularly in the early episodes where IU's character was being a thirsty fangirl. Producers had better writing.

Perfect Crown didn't have strong writing. There's only so much actors can do around that. There was a plot point or two that I didn't really love, but it's mostly just the overall writing.

I feel that YATB/SHR/Persona are one tier up, while HDL/MM/WLGYT are in another league completely. DH I've put off for years, I don't know when or if I'll watch it.
