How much do previous backlogs/arrears affect placements at psg tech? How many companies typically reject candidates based on history of arrears, even if there are no current backlogs?,I have one arrears in first sem then I cleared it in upcoming sem,will that affect placements

If I have 8+ CGPA and strong coding/technical skills, can I still get into good companies? Would appreciate insights from seniors/alumni.
