Tan France on the TODAY Show talking about Queer Eye and reacting to Karamo Brown’s latest remarks.

I trimmed the clip to the relevant part, but the full interview is here if you want to watch it.

I don’t know if it’s because the more I see these guys, the more they give me the ick, but this interview genuinely made me uncomfortable to watch. Has he always had this condescending, passive‑aggressive cunt vibe? Honestly… lol. And what’s going on with that slightly high‑pitched voice people use when they’re clearly being fake?. On Queer Eye he already came off as an insufferable snob sometimes, and apparently he has another Netflix show where he “helps” people with their closets. People here have claimed he’s been passive‑aggressive and rude to contestants there too but I wouldn’t know, because I’m definitely not watching it.

And just to be clear, I’m not defending Karamo, but dismissing someone’s experience just because yours was positive really tells me everything I need to know about someone’s character.

Korean actors who are so good in rom-coms that as soon as you see them appear, you know you're going to laugh your head off.

Whenever I see any of them, I just start laughing to myself. I don’t know if it’s the physical comedy they usually bring to the table, but my goodness, they do such a great job in any supporting role, even the smallest ones. They always manage to steal the show. Kam Ki-dong, Yang Kyung-Won, Yoon Byung-Hee. And without a doubt, the veteran and master of them all: Kim Won-Hae.

Would you add anyone else?

Which K-drama villain would've won if they weren't forced to lose because the story needed a happy ending?

I saw this on twitter and immediately felt the need to bring it here because the potential was too good… however, I’ve watched way too many dramas to summon every villain from memory right now. Still, two of the most unforgettable ones popped into my head instantly:

Baek Hee‑Sung — Flower of Evil
Jang Jung‑woo — Vincenzo

These two didn’t just keep the leads and the audience on edge every single episode, they tightened the screws all the way to the end. There were moments when it genuinely felt like they might actually pull it off, and I hate to admit it, but I even caught myself low‑key rooting for them in those twisted parallels lol. That’s the mark of an actor who has completely fused with the character: he doesn’t just steal the spotlight, he owns it, leaving every viewer as terrified as they are thrilled, eventually unable to look away.

Which one are yours?

Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by KDRAMAS or kdramarecommends.

Ever since I fell down the k-drama rabbit hole years ago, I’ve followed all the related subs because I genuinely trust the takes of everyone and enjoy engaging with people here. I even like to post and join discussions every now and then. However... I truly believe that if it weren’t for this sub, I’d still be in emotional recovery lol. These "official" two subs will NOT let you breathe, man. Everything is against the rules. Posting? illegal. Opinions? banned. Photos, gifs? absolutely not. Linking one post to another? Straight to jail. Do not pass go. Two days ago I got “permanently banned” for adding a link with an interesting post from another sub, and today I was “permanently muted” for replying to that same ban notification saying I was DONE with their BS. Lol, maybe that part was deserved.

Has anyone else experienced this, or was I personally targeted by the k-drama gatekeepers? Honestly, I’m so grateful for this sub. Otherwise, I’d be watching dramas alone in silence, terrified that interacting with fellow fans would land me in reddit prison for committing a federal crime under the nonstop rulebook of certain channels. So wack.

Filling for Love: Filling the void left in me by Business Proposal.

To keep it clear: I’m a HUGE Hye-Sun fan. This woman has never once disappointed me, whether it’s her acting, her on-screen chemistry with literally anyone, or just her overall presence. If she’s in a drama, I’m watching it, no matter the genre. The Life of Sarah was a mess story-wise, but that wasn’t on her. She did the absolute most with what she was given. So, seeing her back in a rom-com already had me excited, and honestly, I haven’t been this entertained by a rom-com from episode one since Business Proposal. Dynamite Kiss had potential and then completely fell apart after episode two as we all know… however, this one has been a total surprise. The script is actually good, and I’m praying the writers don’t ruin it. Their chemistry is explosive and genuinely funny. I had never seen the ML before, but his physical comedy reminds me so much of Park Hyung Sik in SWDBS since it is so good and funny. The subplots are solid, the office characters aren’t annoying as usual (Audit Team 3 has become one of my favorite parts of the show, especially Team Leader Moon). The workplace issues are handled in a way that feels realistic without being cheesy, and the resolutions actually make sense while tying back to the leads plot. Right now, what’s really keeping me on the edge is the storyline around the second leads. The secretary is clearly in love with the CEO, but for some reason I don’t think anything will actually happen there. I’m way more curious about his situation with his wife and chaebol family, because there’s definitely something going on beneath the surface. And the fact that both exes are now falling for their bosses creates such a perfect parallel that I can’t stop thinking about it.

The whole thing feels fresh, funny without being cringe, maturely hot, and very human. It tackles complex relationship topics that honestly deserve to be talked about more openly. I’ve been waiting years for a rom-com that scratches the Business Proposal itch, and this one is finally delivering.

I can’t wait for episode 6. I really hope the writers keep the momentum because I’m fully invested!
