I always think back to a 2000s documentary in which British Sailors detailed their experiences with the testing in the south pacific that occurred after ww2. Pierce wasn’t just making shit up when he was writing Darrow’s perspective.
I love to find random discs or cases and complete the stuff that I have. Most of the games I do this with are in the $20-$50 range but I like to do it with cheap games also.
I recently made a few wii Mario games complete that I only had the case for and I just made a wii play game complete that I only have the disc for. I have completed dozens of PlayStation and Xbox games as well over the years.
It’s not about the money it’s about making the game complete 🥴
My local game store that is typically pretty fair but had a few outliers that were typically popular games..
Super Mario world for the SNES was $45 which is twice pricecharting; banjo kazooie was $50 which is a bit high as well
I’m becoming an old bastard, but it just seems like I remember local prices to be slightly less than online, consistently. But it seems like now they are 100% of online prices if they are in bad condition and 120% to 200% or more if they are in good condition.
Replaced bat for the first time at 80,000 miles and eight years old so was trying to give some loyalty but all the original markings had been removed/scratched off & I purchased the car brand new so not sure if that was a dealership thing or what.
Also, car spent majority of time under the Florida sun & still lasted 8 years
All of the local non-corporate game stores price most junk/super common games at the $10-$20 range and usually won’t budge.
GameStop does the Bogo deals and the four for 20 deals occasionally.
I picked up a few dozen Xbox, Xbox 360, and PS3 games for $150 and was doing the math at a local game shop today and it would have been about $400. And even the older games in a higher price range are sometimes more than fairly priced at GameStop in comparison to the local competition.
I picked up super Mario Brothers 3 for the NES for 25 bucks, wii Armageddon for $20 & got 007 World not enough for n64 for free because of the buy 2 get 1 deal.
Anyways, just curious if anyone else find deals at their gamestop? For retro and used, I have had lots of success.
