Upgraded from an 01 Celica to a 2012 SXT a couple months ago and I absolutely love this car so much.
Joined this thread after I bought it and I see everyone posting their rides so I thought I’d add mine. Haven’t added any mods to it yet, came with performance breaks and exhaust and that’s all I really need to be honest. It’s just so sleek and I am worried I’ll mess it up by going overboard and adding too much unnecessary shit. Any cool ideas lmk though!
I have a 2014 Challenger SRT8 392. I have basic bolt ons at the moment (long tube headers, cat delete, aftermarket resonators, valved exhaust, 3.5in exhaust piping and cold air intake)
My car developed the dreaded lifter tick a while back, which I had picked up very late (my dumbass drove about 1000kms after I picked up on the initial very faint noise. I has disregarded the noise as injector sound) The ticking is quite loud now, so I refrain from driving the car anymore
Since I have to most probably change the lifters and the cam, i have decided to upgrade to BTR 224 cam (full kit from AMS Racing) which includes the hellcat lifters and all the required consumables
I would like to know if anyone has a similar setup and what are the whp numbers
Does porting the heads and throttle body provide much of a difference? Do I have this carried out as well?
My goal is to have a very strong 500+whp daily driver with plenty of mid range torque.
I've been meaning to switch out to my front headlights with the newer styled ones, especially since one of them is blown i found a first photo of what the front of my car looks like. And then the second photo of like the newer style, I know that VLAND has some, but it's never like specified on the website that it works in.My car since Im fairy certain that they actually changed the headlight connectors for the SRT8 vs keeping it the same as the RT SXT SE models if anyone with a SRT8 has done this headlight mod and can help me make a list of what to buy that'd be great and ill def show it off when its done
Car is tuned but only for the 5.7 pcm to run the 6.4 swap
hi all, need some help here. off the cold start the rear end bottom of the car will make a knocking sound and i can kind of feel the car jerk with it, would this be a drivetrain issue?
I bought a 2013 SXT a few months ago, knowing full well that it was going to need a little elbow grease to really make it presentable. As you can see, the hood was incredibly oxidized, and frankly I was a little worried I'd actually be able to get it looking alright. However, one Amazon prime purchase (DA Polisher starter kit), a couple trips to O'Reilly's for the inevitable forgotten supplies (clay bar, quick detailing spray, microfiber cloth, some wax), and way more time than I really thought later, I'm proud to say she's looking nearly pristine! Now, I just gotta work on the various chips and scratches with a little touch-up paint and I think I'll be golden.
Hello! Need the communities help please. Looking to get tires for my Scatpack Widebody next summer and wanted to get everyone’s opinion. I know the general consensus probably leans Pilot Sports, but I wanted to see what everyone had to say.
I’ve narrowed it down to the following three:
-Michelin Pilot Sports
-Pirelli P Zeros
-Goodyear Eagle Sports
A few years back I had a guy tell me that Michelins aren’t what they used to be and at the time recommended Goodyear Eagles. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
I just got a 2018 Dodge Challenger GT from Carvana in Destroyer Gray. I had a 2015 SXT years ago but wanted to level up this time and get the AWD GT model. I took it for a PPI to give the car a once over. Came back with oil leak, transmission leak and all rusty rotors, which for the most part, Carvana implied would be probably covered by their insurance, even the wear and tear parts. But the biggest red flag was my mechanic said that it looked like it had been completely (and poorly) repainted. The color matched the original window sticker and CARFAX. I thought the paint job looked strange, kind of wavy but I wasn’t sure if it was just how that paint color looked because I’d never seen destroyer gray specifically before.
I posted a picture and wanted anyone else’s opinion. Does it look like it was repainted or does that color just have an odd looking texture that reflects in the light like that normally? You can kind of see what I’m talking about above the driver side wheel in the first pic. Second pic is a close up of the hood. Am I bugging or does it look repainted? Is there anyway way to compare and know for sure?
Between this and all the other issues, I’m probably going to return or exchange it anyway but just figured I’d try and get someone else’s opinion.
Shopearl spindles 350$ and ebay brembos 400$ new rotors 220$
Starting with an icon from 1970 we made it wider, meaner, refined and added a whole lot of attitude.
Housing a 707hp hellcat crate motor, a T56 Magnum and Reilly Motorsports suspension, this car feels just as comfortable carving up the hill country as it does stealing the spotlight standing still.
Thoughts? I think it’s almost negligible difference but i swear it improved throttle response a little
I sell cars. This is DEFINITELY not my car and I’ve seen most stupid stuff that people can do to their cars, but this takes the cake. We literally took this in on trade and now we have to replace the hood.. also it’s a SXT with R/T AND Hellcat badging! Among other stupid shit 😂… BOO this MAN! And for the love of God, please nobody ever replicate this!
