Coming down to Melbourne and need to find a practice room for five piece with backline hire and PA. Would need to be relatively central. Anyone have any good experiences with rooms in the past?
Spent a few hours today interviewing synth legend and former Fairlight CMI product specialist/evangelist Peter Wielk. He graciously showed me some of the vintage Fairlights that he's working on. There are only a few hundred working Fairlight CMIs left in the world, despite having helped define the sound of the 1980s with Peter Gabriel, the Art of Noise, Kate Bush and Duran Duran. It was a real thrill to see inside these legendary samplers.
