Lately I've been wondering if anyone else feels this way.
I keep telling myself that I'll be happier or more relaxed once I get through the next thing a new job, finishing a project, having more money, getting into a better routine, or reaching some personal goal.
Then I get there, and my brain immediately finds the next milestone to focus on.

I realized adulthood is mostly just remembering things before you forget them.
Paying bills, replying to messages, remembering birthdays, booking appointments... I used to think adults had everything figured out. Now it feels like everyone is just trying not to forget the next thing on their list.
